HOMEMADE DARK CHOCOLATE ALMOND BUTTER
Homemade Dark Chocolate Almond Butter combines roasted almonds with dark chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and vanilla. A healthier chocolate spread that's perfect on toast, graham crackers, as an apple dipper, or eaten by the spoonful!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spread almonds on a baking sheet, and roast for 10 minutes, or until fragrant and slightly browned.
- Remove from oven, and pour almonds in a food processor. Process until creamy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add olive oil to dark chocolate chips, and melt in microwave until creamy. Be careful to avoid burning by heating in 30 second increments and stirring in between.
- Add chocolate to food processor, along with the cocoa powder, vanilla, and espresso powder (optional). Process again, until extremely creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour chocolate almond butter into a 12 oz. jar, or other container. Let cool completely before placing lid on top.

- In a large bowl, stir together all of the ingredients (alternatively, you can process all of the ingredients in a food processor).
- Scoop into a jar, seal tightly, and refrigerate to store. When you want to soften it, microwave it at 10-second intervals until spreadable.

- Add almonds to food processor and process for 10-15 minutes, scraping down the sides as necessary. At this point the almonds should start to clump together. Continue to process until you reach the desired consistency. I always process until my almond butter is liquid like.
- Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in small saucepan over very low heat. Stir consistently until completely melted and smooth.
- Add chocolate, cocoa powder, vanilla, honey, and sea salt to almond butter and process again until smooth.
- Transfer to mason jar or container and store at room temperature or in fridge. If you store at room temp, simply give the almond butter a stir before you use it.
