PERFECT VANILLA SHEET CAKE
Deliciously moist and fluffy vanilla cake recipe baked in a rectangle pan, and topped with scrumptiously creamy vanilla buttercream frosting!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Grease a 13x9-inch pan, and set aside.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Whisk together the eggs. Add the sugar, and whisk until combined. Add the vanilla extract and vegetable oil, and whisk until combined. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, and spread out evenly. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before frosting.
- Using a handheld or stand mixer, beat together the butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the milk and vanilla extract until smooth, and spreadable. Spread the frosting over the top of the cooled cake, then slice and serve.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9-inch pan.
- Beat sugar and butter together in a medium bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time; stir in vanilla extract and almond extract.
- Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in milk until batter is smooth. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until it springs back to the touch, 30 to 40 minutes.

- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 non-stick baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Put butter and sugar in a large bowl and cream together with a mixer. Add the eggs and mix until combined. Add the milk and vanilla and mix until combined. Add the flour, baking powder and salt and mix until combined.
- Pour the batter in a baking dish. Put the vanilla cake in the oven and bake for 40 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Line two 9-inch round cake pans or one 9x13-inch rectangular baking pan with parchment paper
- Grease the paper and the sides of the pan well
- In a large mixing bowl, with an electric mixer, beat sugar and eggs together until slightly thickened, about 1 minute
- Add flour, milk, oil, baking powder, and vanilla and beat for another minute, just until the batter is smooth and creamy
- Don't overbeat
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan(s)
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick poked into the center of the layer comes out clean

- ) Loosen the sides of the cake from the pan with a thin knife, then turn out onto a rack and peel off the paper
- Let cool completely before covering with frosting
