LOADED CHEDDAR HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Heat two skillets over low heat. Add one tablespoons each of olive oil and butter to both skillets. To one skillet, add diced onions with a pinch of salt. Stir to coat. Cover and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the onions don't burn. Remove lid and add honey, tossing to coat and cook for another 10-15 minutes, until completely caramelized. Once caramely, set aside.
• In the meantime, add the chopped mushrooms to the skillet, tossing to coat. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring once or twice. Add in garlic and cook for 5 minutes more. Remove from heat and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
• Cook hot dogs as desired: either grilled or in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Place each hot dog in a bun and top with an equal amount of grated cheese. Place hot dogs under the broiler (or even back on the grill) for a minute or two just until the cheese is melted. Top with ketchup, mustard and relish, then add mushrooms, onions and bacon. If not serving immediately, wrap in aluminum foil tightly. They can be reheated this way too!

EASY CHEESY HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Half the hotdogs so that the two halves remain attached to each other along the whole length of the hotdog.
• Cut the cheese into sticks or cubes and fill the hotdogs with it.
• Put in the oven and heat (medium to high heat) until cheese melts and take out before the hotdogs start getting brown.

CHEESY PIZZA HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 450˚ F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Divide the pizza dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a long, thin rope about four times the length of a hot dog.
• Slice each piece of string cheese in half lengthwise. Slice each hot dog lengthwise, making sure not to cut all the way through. Place 1 piece of cheese in each sliced hot dog.
• Wind a rope of pizza dough around a hot dog from one end to the other. Repeat with the remaining hot dogs and pizza dough.
• Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared pan. Bake until the dough is golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes.

HOT OLIVE CHEESE PUFFS

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 400°F.
• To make dough, blend the cheese with the butter. Stir in the flour, salt, and paprika. Mix well.
• Wrap 1 teaspoon of dough around each olive overlapping completely.
• Bake until light brown, 12 to 15 minutes.

CHEESE PUFFS

Steps:

• In a large saucepan, bring the water, butter, salt and cayenne to a boil. Add flour all at once and stir until a smooth ball forms. Remove from the heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue beating until mixture is smooth and shiny. Stir in Gruyere and mustard. , Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 425° for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or cold.

SEATTLE CREAM CHEESE DOGS

Steps:

• Preheat grill or grill pan for medium-high heat.
• Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions, and cook slowly until the onions have softened and turned deep brown, about 15 minutes. Warm the cream cheese over low heat in a small skillet until very soft.
• Grill hot dogs until well browned. Lightly grill hot dog buns on both sides.
• To assemble cheese dogs, spread warm cream cheese on toasted hot dog bun, add hot dog or sausage, top with onions, mustard and sauerkraut, if desired.

KILLER BACON-CHEESE DOGS

Steps:

• Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat. Lightly oil grate, and set 4 inches from the heat.
• Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels.
• Place hot dogs on grill; cook until browned, 5 to 8 minutes, turning once, or until done to suit your taste. Lightly grill hot dog buns.
• To assemble sandwiches, place a slice of cheese and bacon on each roll. Add a hot dog, top each with 1 tablespoon barbeque sauce, or desired amount, and red onion.

CHILI CHEESE DOG BOATS RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
• Leaving them attached, place the 8 hot dog buns in a 9 x 13-inch (22 x 33-cm) baking dish. Cut a rectangle in each hot dog bun, making sure to stay 1 centimeter from the edges. Push down on the bread cut-out to compact it tightly into the bottom of each bun, making sure to press down on the bottom edges as well. This will help create a larger space for the fillings and reduce mess.
• Mix the butter, garlic, and parsley in a small bowl, then brush the buns and their hollowed insides with the garlic butter. Bake for 5 minutes to toast the buns as well as help the sides of the buns firm up so they don't collapse under the weight of the fillings.
• Place a slice of cheddar cheese inside each bun, then spoon a bit of chili inside each one. Slide a hot dog snugly on top of the chili in each bun, then top with more chili.
• Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown and the chili has started to brown. Top with fresh parsley, then slice the hot dog boats along their connected seams to serve.

HOT CHEESE PUPS

Steps:

• Soften yeast in water. Combine in mixing bowl milk, butter, sugar, and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Blend in egg and yeast. Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough; beat well after each addition. Cover. Let rise in a warm place until light, about 1 hour.
• Combine cheese and onion. Roll out dough, 1/2 at a time, on floured surface to 14x8 rectangle. Cut into 7x2 inch pieces. Place about 3 rounded tablespoons cheese down center of each. Bring edges to center; seal. Seal ends. Place seam-side down, on cookie sheets. Repeat with remaining dough. Let rise in warm place, 30 minutes.
• Fry in heavily-buttered skillet on medium heat, about 2 minutes on each side. Turn carefully to brown all sides. Add butter as needed. Serve hot.
