TUROS CSUSZA (PASTA WITH COTTAGE CHEESE)
This recipe is great for nights when you get home and need something to wind down. 'Turos Csusza' is a Hungarian dish I learned from my Dad last year when I turned twelve. It consists of bacon, egg noodles, sour cream, and cottage cheese. 'Elvezet!'

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly-salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes; drain well.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crisp; drain, crumble, and set aside.
- Place the drained noodles in a large baking dish. Stir the sour cream into the noodles. Spoon the cottage cheese evenly over the top of the noodle mixture. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top; season with salt.
- Bake in preheated oven until the cottage cheese softens, 3 to 5 minutes.

- Saute bacon until crisp in large frying pan. Remove bacon; set aside. Stir sugar and salt into bacon drippings. Add cabbage, stirring until cabbage is coated with bacon drippings. Cover and cook 7 to 10 minutes. Add cooked noodles and bacon, stirring to blend. Adjust seasoning to taste. , Spoon into 2-quart baking casserole; cover tightly and bake at 325° for 45 minutes. Spread sour cream over top of casserole; sprinkle with paprika and return to oven for 5 minutes more.

- In a large bowl, dissolve bouillon in water. Add the next 6 ingredients; mix well. Stir in cottage cheese, sour cream and noodles and mix well. , Pour into a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. This recipe comes from a Home Cooking magazine. I make it quite often for dinner, it's a great side dish, very light and fluffy.

Steps:
- Set oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease an 11 x 7-inch casserole dish (or you can use a large dish).
- Cook noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water; drain and transfer to a large bowl then toss with 2 tablespoons butter.
- Cook onions and garlic in butter until tender.
- Combine cooked noodles, onion/garlic mixture, cottage cheese, sour cream, worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, salt, pepper, poppy seeds and dill.
- Transfer into prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle with paprika then Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until done.

- Cook egg noodles in a large pot with boiling salted water. Drain well.
- In a large bowl dissolve chicken bouillon cube in boiling water. Mix in the cream of mushroom soup, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and hot pepper sauce. Stir in cottage cheese, sour cream, and cooked egg noodles.
- Transfer to lightly greased slow cooker and sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese and paprika.
- Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours. Serve immediately.

Combine the cabbage and olive oil in a large skillet, and cook uncovered over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the cabbage is soft and just beginning to brown. Add the cottage cheese, pepper, and salt to taste, and stir to mix. 3. Drain the pasta and transfer to a pre-warmed serving bowl. Add the cabbage mixture, and toss gently to combine. Sprinkle generously with paprika and serve immediately.
