Slow Cooker Baked Beans image

1 bag dried navy beans, soaked overnight
One 6-ounce can tomato puree
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 tablespoon dry mustard
8 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 large onion, diced
1/4 cup cider vinegar
Kosher salt

Steps:

  • Drain the beans, cover with fresh water and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 1 hour.
  • Drain and rinse the beans, then transfer them to a slow cooker insert. Add the tomato puree, brown sugar, molasses, dry mustard, bacon, onion and 1 1/2 cups water and stir to combine. Cook on low until the sauce is thick and syrupy, 8 to 10 hours.
  • Before serving, stir in the cider vinegar and season to taste with salt.

24 ounces dry white beans
1 pound ham hocks
1 onion, chopped
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
½ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared mustard

Steps:

  • In a large pot over high heat, combine the beans with water to cover and bring to a boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat but let sit for 1 hour. Drain beans and place them in a slow cooker. Add the ham hocks, onion, brown sugar, maple syrup, salt and water.
  • Mix well, cover and cook on high setting for 4 to 5 hours, stirring occasionally. During the final hour of cooking, add the ketchup and mustard, remove the ham from the hocks and discard the hocks. Mix well and serve.

2 1/2- to 3-pound pork boneless sirloin or loin roast
1 cup baby-cut carrots
2 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes with roasted garlic, undrained
1 envelope (1 1/4 ounces) hunter's gravy mix
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons water
1 jar (4 1/2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 package (8 or 9 ounces) frozen cut green beans, thawed and drained

Steps:

  • Place pork in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker; top with carrots. Mix tomatoes and gravy mix (dry); pour over pork and carrots.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 9 to 11 hours or until pork is tender.
  • Remove pork and carrots to serving platter, using slotted spoon; cover with aluminum foil. Mix flour and water. Gradually stir flour mixture, mushrooms and green beans into liquid in cooker. Cover and cook on high heat setting 15 to 30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Serve sauce with pork and carrots.

1 ½ cups ketchup
1 ½ cups water
¼ cup molasses
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon salt
6 slices thick cut bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Drain soaking liquid from beans, and place them in a Slow Cooker.
  • Stir ketchup, water, molasses, onion, mustard, salt, bacon, and brown sugar into the beans until well mixed.
  • Cover, and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours, stirring occasionally if possible, though not necessary.

1 pound ground beef
1 pound bacon, cut up small
1 cup onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves
1 large can baked beans
1 can pinto beans (Drain and Rinse)(If you use Pinto Beans in Chili sauce than pour in whole can)
1 can butter beans, drained and rinsed
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can Kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Hickory Smoke liquid

Steps:

  • Brown beef, drain off fat set aside. Brown Bacon pieces (just as it is getting color). Add chopped onion and garlic saute until soft. Blend together. In big pot or crock pot add all ingredients simmer 4 to 8 hours. If starting to dry out a little water, but you don't want them soupy. If your slow cooker isn't big enough just eliminate a can or two of beans (not baked beans).

  • Fry bacon and crumble.

  • Cook on low in crockpot for 4-8 hours.
  • The longer it cooks, the smokier it tastes.
