Peel open a new version of homemade banana pie. Warm caramel topping adds a special touch.

1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 medium)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, if desired
Caramel topping, warmed, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch glass pie plate with shortening or spray with cooking spray. In small bowl, mix bananas and lemon juice; set aside.
  • In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients except whipped topping, walnuts and caramel topping until blended. Add banana mixture; stir until blended. Pour into pie plate.
  • Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until chilled.
  • Spread pie with whipped topping; sprinkle with walnuts. Drizzle with caramel topping before serving. Store covered in refrigerator.

2 very ripe medium bananas
1/2 cup biscuit mix, such as Heart Smart Bisquick
2 large eggs
7 ounces sweetened condensed milk (1/2 of a 14-ounce can)
1 cup milk (I used Silk coconut milk beverage)
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt for serving (if desired)

Steps:

  • Position oven rack in the center of the oven ad preheat the oven to 400F degrees.
  • Lightly coat a 9-inch pie pan with nonstick cooking spray and set the pan aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the bananas with an electric mixer on low speed until they are smooth, about 1 minute.
  • Stop the mixer and add the biscuit mix, eggs, sweetened condensed milk, milk, butter, and vanilla.
  • Beat on low speed until the mixture is well blended, about 1 minute more.
  • Scrape the batter into the prepared pie pan and smooth out the top.
  • Bake the pie on the center rack until it is golden brown and firm around the edges, but still a little soft in the center, 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes before cutting.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
  • It's also delicious served chilled with a little whipped cream.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 Grease pie plate 9 x 1/4 in.
  • Mix bananas and lemon juice: set aside Stir remaining ingredients except whipped topping and and walnuts in medium bowl until blended.
  • Add banana mixture: stir until blended.
  • Pour into pie plate Bake 40- 45 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in center come out clean; cool.
  • Cover and refriderate about 2 hours until chilled.
  • Spread whipped topping; sprinkle walnuts, and drizzle with carmel topping.
  • Store covered in refriderator.

2 to 3 large ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/3 cups), plus 1 large banana, sliced
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 eggs
2 2/3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Maple syrup

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, stir mashed bananas, granulated sugar, milk, oil, cinnamon and eggs. Stir in 2 2/3 cups Bisquick mix and 3/4 cup walnuts; fold in banana slices. Pour mixture into pan.
  • In medium bowl, mix Streusel ingredients, cutting in butter with pastry blender or fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over mixture in pan.
  • Bake 30 to 36 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into 4 rows by 3 rows. Drizzle with maple syrup just before serving.
  • Make-Ahead Directions: Make as directed through step 3. Cover and refrigerate up to 12 hours. Uncover, and bake as directed in step 4.

1/3 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
2 medium bananas, sliced
1 cup heavy cream, chilled
2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Grease a 9" pie plate.
  • In blender, beat together milk, butter, vanilla, eggs, sugar and bisquick on high for 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Pour into pie plate and bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes (may take a bit longer).
  • Cool completely.
  • Arrange banana slices on pie.
  • Beat heavy cream with powdered sugar til stiff and spread over top of bananas.

i found this recipe in my sister in law's high school cook book. it really is impossible in everything, impossibly easy to make, impossibly tasty. it has got me out of a fix more than once when i had guests coming over within an hour's notice. this recipe is originally eaten cold, but just last week we had it warm and it still rocked. hope you like as much as we do. Sorry about the temp, the first reviewer was right it does bake at 350*F, corrected it now. Thanks for the reviews.

1 cup coconut (desicated)
1/2 cup butter (soft)
1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • if you have a blender large enough for this batch, go ahead and blend all the ingredients. if not, use an electric mixer as i do.
  • pour into a greased 25cm backing dish.
  • bake in a preheated oven at 350*F for 45 min(check on it after 30 min).
  • the flour should form a ouhg at the bottom and the coconut will be on top.
  • enjoy.
