EASY TORTILLA PIZZA



Easy Tortilla Pizza image

This is an extremely easy/fast way to prepare a delicious pizza that is light enough to be a snack, serves well as an appetizer, or is so good that is can be devoured alone! I make this often when entertaining guests and it always goes fast. You can make any sort of topping variations. The one below is the classic way I usually prepare it. I cook this also with my family. Each person gets their own tortilla to, as my kids say, decorate.

1 (8 inch) soft flour tortilla
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 pinch garlic powder
salt and ground black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 cooked chicken breast, sliced
½ green bell pepper, chopped
2 green onions, finely chopped
⅓ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pinch dried oregano

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place tortilla on a baking sheet. Brush with olive oil; sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove tortilla from the oven and spread tomato sauce on top. Arrange chicken breast, green bell pepper, and green onions over tomato sauce; cover with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle oregano over cheese. Slice pizza into wedges using a pizza cutter.

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 pkg. (16.33 oz.) TACO BELL® Soft Tortilla Taco Dinner Kit
2/3 cup TACO BELL® Refried Beans
2/3 cup KRAFT Mexican Style 2% Milk Finely Shredded Four Cheese
1 large tomato, chopped
1 cup chopped lettuce
1/2 cup chopped light sour cream

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400ºF.
  • Cook meat with Taco Seasoning Mix as directed on package.
  • Spread Tortillas with beans. Place 5 tortillas in single layer on baking sheet; top with 1/4 cup seasoned meat and 1 Tbsp. cheese. Repeat layers; top with tomatoes.
  • Bake 8 to 10 min. or until pizzas are heated through and cheese is melted. Top with lettuce and sour cream. Cut into wedges to serve.

Five Minute Tortilla Pizzas image

This is super simple way to make mini pizzas. The olive oil spray will prevent the pizzas from being soggy in the middle--yay! Feel free to add whatever additional toppings you have on hand. We especially like to add caramelized onions.

olive oil flavored cooking spray
garlic powder
2 whole wheat tortillas
8 -10 tablespoons pizza sauce
4 -6 tablespoons mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 450 degrees.
  • Spray each tortilla lightly with the olive oil spray, and then flip them over, so that the oiled side is facing down.
  • Lightly sprinkle the top of the tortillas with garlic powder.
  • Cut each tortilla in half (this will allow you to fit both tortillas on the pizza stone) and arrange on a pizza stone.
  • Evenly divide the tomato sauce over the tortillas. Sprinkle with the cheese.
  • Add any additional toppings you desire, and put the pizza stone into the oven. Watch carefully to ensure the pizza doesn't burn. (In my convection oven, the pizza was done after a mere 5 minutes).
