3/4 oz Green Creme de Menthe
3/4 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
3/4 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey

Steps:

  • In a tall, skinny shot glass, first pour the Creme de Menthe. Then, pouring slowly over a barspoon or other small spoon, round side up, add the Bailey's. The Bailey's should float on top of the Creme de Menthe. Repeat the spoon process to pour the Jameson over the Bailey's. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

This Irish flag shooter recipe is made by layering shots of crème de menthe, Irish cream, and orange liqueur to resemble the flag of Ireland.

1/2 ounce Irish cream liqueur
1/2 ounce orange liqueur (Grand Marnier)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Pour the crème de menthe into a shot glass .
  • Float the Irish cream liqueur on top of the crème de menthe by pouring it slowly over the back of a bar spoon.
  • Float the Grand Marnier on top of the Irish cream liqueur, again using the back of a bar spoon.
  • Do not stir. Serve as is, making sure not to jostle the drink too much so the colors don't bleed into each other. Enjoy.

Steps:

  • Layer in a pony glass or shot glass in the order given.
  • The secret is to pour slowly, barely dribble the liqueurs into your glass.
  • Start with your first liqueur and pour it into your glass, now take your spoon and place the tip of the spoon very close to your first liqueur, now carefully and slowly pour in your second liqueur over the back of the spoon and into the glass, then your third.

  • For better control in constructing this shot, I recommend using a squeeze bottle for each of the three different alcohols used.
  • Insert a small spoon into the shot glass, upside down, so that the tip of the spoon is submerged in the top of the creme de menthe. Very slowly, pour the Baileys over the back of the spoon so that it slides off and gently comes into contact with the creme de menthe. Continue pouring until the Baileys Irish Cream layer is 1/3 the size of the shot glass.
  • Wipe off your spoon, then insert it back into the shot glass, upside down, with the tip submerged in the top of the Baileys Irish Cream. Like with the previous layer, slowly pour the Grand Mariner over the back of the spoon. Fill the shot glass up the rest of the way with Grand Marnier.
