This is a recipe my mom made when I was a little girl.

Number Of Ingredients 9

Ingredients

1 cup(s) sugar
1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
3 cup(s) milk
1/2 to 3/4 cup(s) cocoa, unsweetened (more makes it richer)
3 - egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 tablespoon(s) butter, softened
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1 - baked pie

Steps:

Mix sugar, flour, salt, and cocoa in top of double boiler. Stir in milk and cook for 15 minutes, stirring constantly until thick. Add egg yolks, one at a time and stirring well after each one. Cook for 3 minutes and add butter, stir well and pour into baked pie shell. Cool.
