EASY CHICKEN CRESCENT ROLL UPS



Easy Chicken Crescent Roll Ups image

This is an easy family recipe made with ingredients you probably already have in your fridge and pantry. Even the pickiest of eaters will love this comfort food!

Number Of Ingredients 10

25 ounces canned chicken (or 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken)
8 ounces package cream cheese
2 tablespoons milk
salt and pepper to taste
2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup crushed croutons ((or panko bread crumbs, bread crumbs, and cracker crumbs can all be used))
1 stick butter (melted)
fresh or canned mushrooms
diced onions
chopped celery

Steps:

  • Blend together first four ingredients.
  • Separate crescent rolls into triangles.
  • Spoon chicken into the bottom of the triangle, fold in the bottom corners, and roll up.
  • Lightly roll in melted butter then roll in crushed croutons.
  • Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  • If desired, serve with a sauce of cream of chicken soup diluted with 1/2 cup milk over the crescent rolls. I also like to add salt, pepper, parsley, cayenne, and curry to the sauce.

Mom's Chicken and Cream Cheese Roll-Ups image

Chicken Pillows, Chicken Roll-Ups or Chicken Pockets - whatever you call these, they're a kid-friendly dinner favorite. Shredded chicken mixed with cream cheese, mushrooms, and diced onion all rolled up in a delicious, buttery crescent roll.

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
2 Tablespoons onion (diced) - optional
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms (drained)
2 (8 ounce) packages crescent roll dough

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Mix together cooked chicken, softened cream cheese, onion, and mushrooms.
  • Roll out your crescents, place a heaping spoonful of chicken mixture on wide-end of crescent and roll it up. Place on large cookie sheet (I use my largest jelly-roll pan). Bake for 12-14 minutes (watch for the rolls to turn golden).

Number Of Ingredients 6

12 ounces cream cheese
2 cups chopped cooked chicken
2 tablespoons milk
1 (12 count) can crescent rolls
1 tablespoon grated onion (I usually get the onion as fine as possible by putting it into a food processor)
1/4 cup melted butter

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese and milk until smooth.
  • Stir in onion and chicken.
  • Mix well.
  • Place ¼ cup of chicken mixture in each roll.
  • Fold edges of roll around filling.
  • Brush top of rolls with melted butter.
  • Place on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Allow to sit for 5 minutes to cook before serving.

1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 teaspoon salt

1 can cream of chicken soup
8 crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Mix together the chicken, onion, cream cheese, salt, milk, and butter.
  • Spoon onto crescent rolls and roll up.
  • Bake 20 minutes at 350*.
  • Mix together and heat the sour cream and soup.
  • Spoon over roll-ups and enjoy!
