SUGAR COOKIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and baking soda; gradually beat into creamed mixture., Shape into 1-in. balls. Roll in additional sugar. Place on greased baking sheets; flatten with a glass. Bake until set, 10-12 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES

Steps:

• In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Beat in the sour cream, honey and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Cover and chill for 2 hours or until easy to handle. , On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with floured 3-in. cookie cutters. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. , Bake at 325° for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. , In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white coating; stir until smooth. Stir in food coloring; drizzle over cookies.

SUGAR COOKIES

Steps:

• Beat the butter and sugar with an electric whisk for 4 mins until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla. Whisk in the cornflour and plain flour until the mixture comes together into a dough. Put the dough between two pieces of baking parchment, and roll out to a 6mm thickness using a rolling pin. Chill for 30 mins.
• Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Peel the top layer of parchment off the dough and stamp out circles using a 6cm round cutter (or the shape of your choice). Re-roll any offcuts and continue stamping out rounds until all the dough is used. Transfer the cookies to a second large baking sheet lined with baking parchment, spacing them 2cm apart (you may need two sheets). Bake for 7-10 mins. Leave to cool on the sheet for 15 mins, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Will keep in an airtight container for one week.

LIISA'S SUGAR COOKIES

Steps:

• Sift together flour, cream of tartar, salt and baking soda. Cream margarine and sugar. Add to creamed mixture the eggs and vanilla.
• Mix until combined well.
• Add in the sifted dry ingredients. Roll and flour on cutting board. Cut into desired shapes. Sprinkle with sugar.
• Bake at 350 about 8-10 minutes.

EASY SUGAR COOKIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
• In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
• Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

LILA'S SUGAR COOKIES

Steps:

• Cream the white sugar, butter, powdered sugar, and crisco. Add in egg and vanilla.
• Add in flour, baking soda, and cream tartar.
• Roll into balls. Place on pan and press with glass coated with sugar.
• Bake 350 to 375 for 10 minutes.

LEMONGRASS SUGAR COOKIES RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients into the bowl of a heavy duty stand mixer. Mix on low speed, scraping along the side of the bowl constantly.
• Once dough is thoroughly mixed, wrap it in plastic and chill the dough for an hour, and up to 2 days.
• When you are ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350°F.
• Roll the dough out until ½-inch thick and cut into desired shapes. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
• Transfer to a rack immediately after taking them out of the oven. Decorate as desired and serve.
