1/4 cup tomatoes
1/4 cup almonds (raw) or 1/4 cup cashews
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon sea salt
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup nutritional yeast

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients in blender till very smooth.
  • Pour in 2 quart saucepan and cook on med. heat until thick, whisking constantly.
  • Use as a cheese sauce for macaroni or on veggies or whatever you like.

2 egg yolks
2 tablespoons lemon juice
¼ teaspoon fine salt
½ cup milk, or as needed

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese and egg yolks together in a bowl with an electric mixer. Stir lemon juice and salt together in a separate small bowl.
  • Transfer cream cheese mixture to saucepan over low heat; whisk in lemon juice mixture. Increase heat to medium-low; bring cream cheese mixture to a boil, whisking constantly, about 3 minutes. Whisk milk in gradually until desired consistency is reached. Continue to cook, whisking constantly, until smooth sauce forms, 1 to 2 minutes.
