2 tablespoons (1 oz) dark rum
2 tablespoons (1 oz) light rum
1 teaspoon chopped fresh gingerroot
1 1/2 tablespoons (3/4 oz) lime juice
1 1/2 tablespoons (3/4 oz) orange juice
Ice
1/4 cup (2 oz) cranberry juice
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

Steps:

  • In cocktail shaker, add dark rum and light rum. Add gingerroot, then use end of wooden spoon to muddle ginger, releasing its flavor into rum.
  • Add lime juice, orange juice and ice; shake until cold. Pour into cocktail glass filled with ice. Slowly pour cranberry juice into glass; garnish with allspice.

1 cup orange juice, chilled
1 cup spiced dark rum, chilled
1 cup white rum, chilled
Two 5.07-ounce cans ginger beer, preferably Goslings or Fever-Tree, chilled
1 orange, sliced into wheels
1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

Steps:

  • Combine the pomegranate juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, dark and white rums and ginger beer in a large punch bowl. Garnish with the orange slices and pomegranate seeds. Serve over ice in chilled glasses such as snifters, rocks, highballs, or cabernet glasses.

8 ounces black spiced rum, such as Kraken or Captain Morgan, chilled
4 ounces fresh lime juice (from 3 limes), chilled, plus wheels for serving
16 ounces ginger beer, such as Fever-Tree or Q, chilled
1 quart orange sherbet
1 bottle (750 milliliters) dry sparkling white wine, such as prosecco brut, chilled
16 ounces club soda or seltzer, chilled
Star-anise pods and sliced fresh ginger, for serving

Steps:

  • Combine rum, lime juice, and ginger beer in a large punch bowl. Add sherbet and pour sparkling wine and club soda over. Top with lime wheels, star anise, and ginger; serve.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon unsulfured dark molasses
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 cups milk
1/2 cup dark rum
freshly grated nutmeg for garnsih

Steps:

  • In a saucepan combine the sugar, 1 tablespoon water, the molasses, and the ginger, and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring. Add the milk in a stream, whisking, and heat the mixture over moderate heat, stirring until it is hot, but do not let it boil. Stir in the rum, divide the mixture between 2 heated mugs, and sprinkle each drink with some of the nutmeg.

1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
3/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 cups dark rum
2 cups ice, plus more for serving
lime slice, and
cilantro leaf, for garnish

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, bring the water, sugar and ginger to a boil.
  • Simmer over moderate heat for 5 minutes. Strain the syrup into a large pitcher, pressing hard on the ginger. Let cool to room temperature.
  • Stir in the lime juice, rum and the 2 cups of ice. Strain into ice-filled glasses and garnish with lime slices and cilantro.
