Don't be afraid to try this chili, the ingredients create a tasty chili sensation! For a different taste, try substituting the 6 ounces of cola with 6 ounce of prepared coffee. Prepare this the day before serving in order to let the flavor heighten. Enjoy!

1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 cups condensed French onion soup
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 tablespoons molasses
½ cup raisins
1 pound ground beef
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (5.5 ounce) can tomato-vegetable juice cocktail
6 fluid ounces cola-flavored carbonated beverage

Steps:

  • Combine chocolate syrup, tomatoes, French onion soup, kidney beans, beef broth, chili powder, molasses and raisins in a large stock pot and simmer.
  • Meanwhile brown the ground beef, in a medium saute pan, over medium-high heat. Once browned, drain grease and add salt and pepper.
  • Add browned beef, tomato juice and cola flavored carbonated beverage to soup mixture and simmer for an hour.

Not happy with any at-home recipes for nacho sauce, I made up my own! A thick, creamy nacho cheese sauce that you will swear came out of a jar. Cheesy, subtly spicy, and bursting with nacho flavor--it rivals any store-bought nacho cheese sauce. Just be sure to save some aside for yourself! Serve warm immediately over or with tortilla chips, on tacos or burritos, or as any other dip.

3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups milk, divided
3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chiles (such as Rotel®), drained slightly
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin, or more to taste
1 teaspoon paprika, or more to taste
1 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk in flour to form a thick paste. Whisk in 3/4 cup milk; cook and stir until thickened, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream into milk mixture until smooth, about 1 minute. Add remaining milk, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, and paprika; cook and stir until thickened to sauce consistency, about 5 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper.

A very different but wonderful EASY salsa. It's my spin on an original recipe. It is a hit wherever I take it. The ingredients are somewhat out of the ordinary, but WOW are they AWESOME when mixed!!!

2 (10 ounce) cans Rotel tomatoes & chilies, undrained
1 (15 ounce) can white corn, drained
1 (15 ounce) can black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
6 green onions, sliced thin
8 ounces paul newman family recipe Italian salad dressing
1 1/4 ounces ortega taco seasoning mix, with jalapeno & onions

Steps:

  • Mix everything together.
  • Refrigerate 4-6 hours to allow flavors to blend.
  • Serve with Corn Chip Scoops.

I came up with this recipe when I was trying to use up some tomatoes and didn't have any peppers in the house in order to make traditional salsa. It's become a fav in our house! No more peppers for me!

2 cups tomatoes (chopped, pureed, whatever your preference-I prefer a mixture of chopped and pureed)
1 small onion, chopped
1 -2 tablespoon hot sauce (2 for hot, 1 for mild)
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Prepare tomatoes and onions.
  • Add hot sauce and spices (I have also used red pepper and Tupperware's Southwest Chipotle for variety) to tomato/onion mixture.
  • Store in airtight container in the fridge and enjoy!
