It takes 5 minutes to throw this salad together and it serves well as a yummy side dish or even a meal with the simple addition of grilled chicken. If there are any leftovers, they won't be around for long!

⅓ cup almond slivers
⅓ cup roasted sunflower seeds (unsalted)
1 package of chicken/vegetable/beef ramen noodles
⅓ cup apple cider
½ cup oil (vegetable or olive)
½ cup sugar
1 flavor packet from ramen noodles

Steps:

  • Step 1: Slice Green Onions & Measure Dry Ingredients
  • Step 2: Combine Salad Dressing Ingredients
  • Step 3: Toss Salad Mix With Dressing

1 package (3 ounces) chicken ramen noodles
1 package (16 ounces) broccoli coleslaw mix
2 cups sliced green onions (about 2 bunches)
1-1/2 cups broccoli florets
1 can (6 ounces) ripe olives, drained and halved
1 cup sunflower kernels, toasted
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Set aside the noodle seasoning packet; crush the noodles and place in a large bowl. Add the slaw mix, onions, broccoli, olives, sunflower kernels and almonds. , In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the sugar, vinegar, oil and contents of seasoning packet; shake well. Drizzle over salad and toss to coat. Serve immediately.

This is the best variation I have ever had of the Ramen Noodle Coleslaw. The red pepper gives the salad a delicate sweetness, the roasted nuts, seeds and noodles adds crunch and the proportions are so well balanced that you will be asked time and again for this recipe.

1/2 cup slivered almonds
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
1 (3 ounce) package chicken-flavored ramen noodles (set flavor packet aside and crunch up the noodles)
1 (1 lb) package coleslaw mix
1 red pepper, chopped small
1 small vidalia onions or 1 small other sweet onion, chopped
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
1/2 cup canola oil
1/3 cup sugar

Steps:

  • Roast nuts, seeds and crunched up noodles on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Cool and store in airtight container until ready to add to slaw.
  • Combine cole slaw, peppers and onions in a large bowl.
  • Whisk together vinegar, oil sugar and noodle flavor packet until well blended.
  • Pour over slaw.
  • It tastes best when this is allowed to marinade overnight but it is not necessary.
  • Just before serving, add nut mixture and stir well.

2 cups shredded carrots
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 to 1/2 cup raisins
1/4 to 1/2 cup sunflower kernels
1/4 cup salted peanuts
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/8 teaspoon salt
Lettuce leaves

Steps:

  • In a bowl, toss the carrots, pineapple, raisins, sunflower kernels and peanuts. In a small bowl, combine the peanut butter, yogurt, mayonnaise and salt; mix well. Pour over carrot mixture and stir gently to coat. Serve in a lettuce-lined bowl.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 bag shredded coleslaw
2 bags beef ramen noodles(uncooked)and crumbled.
Dressing:
1/3 apple cider vinegar
1/3 sugar
2/3 olive oil
2 packets of the beef seasoning from the ramen noodles
Topping:
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup sunflower seeds

Steps:

  • Salad needs 4 hours to marinate.Prepare the dressing prior to adding it to slaw. Mix coleslaw and crumbled ramen noodles in a large bowl. Add the dressing mixture and mix. Chill in the refrigerator and toss the coleslaw and dressing at least every hour. Add the topping just prior to serving. Enjoy!

2 tablespoons walnuts (chopped) or 2 tablespoons unsalted cashew pieces (chopped)
1 cup red cabbage, chopped
3/4 cup carrot, peeled and diced
1/2 apple, cored and diced
3 tablespoons mayonnaise (or more to taste)

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients except walnut pieces in a blender and process until all ingredients are combined and vegetables are grated.
  • A splash of milk can be added if the mixture is too dry and difficult to process.
  • Mix in walnut pieces.
