CINNAMON SWIRL ORANGE BREAD
My family waits expectantly for me to bake this beautiful sweet bread every year at this time. The tempting aroma as it's baking fills the kitchen and makes everybody eager for a thick slice of this yummy treat. -Linda Eager, Harlan, Indiana

Steps:
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in water. In a large bowl, combine the milk, orange juice, sugar, shortening, zest and salt. Add 2 cups flour, yeast mixture and egg; mix well. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. , Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour., Punch dough down and divide in half. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Roll each portion into a 15x7-in. rectangle. , For filling, combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over rectangle. Sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon water. Roll up, jelly-roll style, starting with a short end. Seal edges. Place each seam side down in a greased 8x4-in. loaf pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. , Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks. Combine glaze ingredients; spread over loaves.

Stir in 1/2 cup sugar, orange zest, salt, egg and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. , Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour., Punch dough down; divide in half. Roll each portion into a 15x7-in. rectangle. Brush with water. Combine cinnamon and remaining sugar; sprinkle over dough to within 1 in. of edge. , Tightly roll up, jelly-roll style, starting with a short side; seal ends. Place seam side down into two greased 9x5-in. loaf pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. , Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. - Add all the dough ingredients to the pan according to the order in the manufacturer's directions.
- Set crust on medium and program for the Basic cycle; press start.
- When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack.
- Place a plate or piece of waxed paper under the rack.
- Make the glaze: combine the powdered sugar, orange juice, and vanilla in a bowl; beat with a small whisk until smooth.
- With a large spoon, drizzle the bread with the glaze, letting it drip down the sides.
- Cool to room temperature to set the glaze before slicing.
ORANGE BREAD
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and both sugars together with an electric mixer.
