1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes with green peppers, celery and onions
1 15 ounce can chili beans, drained
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt to taste

Steps:

  • In a large skillet or pot, brown meat. Drain off excess grease, if necessary. Add tomatoes, beans, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and salt to the meat mixture. Cook until heated through.

Stir in the beans, broth, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cinnamon, cumin, and pepper. Mix well and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes. Serve hot with any desired toppings.

cayenne pepper, easily substitute a packet of chili seasoning for the spices

  • Place chili beans, tomatos, mushrooms and seasoning into chili.
