Pepperoni Cheesy Bread is the appetizer version of pepperoni pizza on a hoagie roll with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices and Italian seasoning.

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (, optional)
2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni
marinara or pizza sauce (, for serving)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut the two hoagie rolls into 2-inch wide portions but leave it attached in the middle.
  • Mix the olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic salt and red pepper flakes (if using) then brush it onto the bread.
  • Top the bread with the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and parmesan cheese and bake until crispy, about 15-18 minutes.

3 tbs butter, melted
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp italian seasoning
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup pepperoni - rough chopped
parsley, dried - for garnish. optional

Steps:

  • preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  • lay the pizza dough down on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
  • spread the melted butter evenly on top of the dough
  • now add the mozzarella and parmesan cheese
  • season it with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning
  • bake it for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubble and the dough is golden brown
  • then make one big cut horizontally and several vertical slices about 1 inch apart
  • garnish with parsley serve it with marinara sauce for dunking if you'd like

1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 large egg, room temperature
1 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Heat a 10-in. cast-iron or ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add pepperoni and onion; cook and stir until pepperoni is crisp and onion is tender, 6-8 minutes. Remove and keep warm. In a large bowl, beat egg, milk, yogurt and oil until well blended. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, garlic powder and salt; gradually beat into egg mixture.
