PIZZA BUNS
The elementary school I attended back in the 1950's used to make these, and were a favorite of most everyone. My wife and I spent a lot of time trying to recreate these when we were first married. Our kids (now in their 30's) still request these when they come to visit. We use canned pizza sauce but spice it up. Left-overs are easily reheated in the toaster oven.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven's broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
- Place bun halves, crust sides down, onto a baking sheet. Broil the buns until just toasted, about 1 minute. Watch them carefully, they burn easily. Set the toasted buns aside.
- Turn oven heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and stir the ground beef until the meat is browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Drain excess grease, and stir in the onion. Cook and stir the beef mixture until the onion is translucent, about 5 more minutes, then stir in the pizza sauce, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and paprika. Bring the sauce to a boil, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes to blend the flavors, stirring often.
- Spoon the beef sauce over the buns on the baking sheet, and top each bun with about 1/4 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Return the buns to the oven, and bake until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned, about 10 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 400°. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 16x10-in. rectangle. Sprinkle with cheeses and pepperoni. , Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. This recipe came from my Aunt when I was about 13 years old. Not only is it good for kids, but it's good for parties too!

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- On a large baking sheet, pinch the 8 crescent roll dough triangles into 4 rectangles. Layer each rectangle with 6 slices of pepperoni and even amounts of mozzarella cheese. Roll tightly lengthwise and slice each into 4 or more pieces.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.

BILLIARD ROOM PIZZA WHEEL
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Crumble sausage into pan, add 1 tablespoon of the Mexican seasoning, tomato sauce, and beans. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add diced peppers and let simmer for another 8 minutes. Set aside.
- On a floured surface, unroll dough to fit in 15-inch round pan. Arrange sausage filling around sides of dough. Top with cheese and black olives. Using a pie cutter mark 8 slits in the center of the pan. Gently lift each triangle over the filling and tuck tip under the sides. Repeat with remaining triangles. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is a golden brown. Serve warm.

- Place pizza rounds on two cookie sheets sprayed lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Bake each sheet for 7 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Pizza Variations Canadian Bacon, Pineapple, and Mushroom Pizza Rounds: Spread 3 tablespoons pizza sauce on each of 4 bun halves. Place one slice Canadian bacon, 2 tablespoons pineapple tidbits, 2 tablespoons sliced mushrooms, and 3 tablespoons cheese on top of each half. Cheese Only Pizza Rounds: Spread 3 tablespoons pizza sauce on each of 4 bun halves. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons cheese. Pepperoni Pizza Rounds: Spread 3 tablespoons pizza sauce on each of 4 bun halves. Place 3 pepperoni slices and 3 tablespoons cheese on top of each half. Veggie Pizza Rounds: Spread 3 tablespoons pizza sauce on each of 4 bun halves. Place 1/4 cup mixed vegetables and 3 tablespoons cheese on top of each half. PIZZA BUNS
These are nice to serve for a snack. My Mom used to serve them for her Bridge Group. I have served them with a bowl of soup for supper. If you like pizza, I think you will like these. This mixture can be kept in the fridge for several days and spread on buns when you are ready to use.

Steps:
- Slice bacon into small pieces and then brown it.
- Drain fat from bacon.
- Cut the pepperoni into slices and then quarter the slices.
- Add onion, green pepper, and mushrooms to the bacon and heat until onions begin to soften. Stir often.
- Add spaghetti sauce, pepperoni, oregano and garlic powder and heat through.
- Cool.
- Stir in cheese.
- Spread on open-faced buns and broil until bubbly and cheese melted.
- Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In the bowl of a food processor, combine pepperoni, sausage, parmesan, scallions, pizza seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste. Pulse until mixture is finely chopped and well combined. Transfer to a medium bowl. Add pizza sauce and mix to combine.
- On a lightly floured work surface, roll pizza dough to a dimension of 12" x 9".
- Spread pepperoni mixture over dough, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Starting with the long end, roll dough into a log. As you spread filling and roll log, dough may stretch to a length of up to 16".
- Cut into 12 pieces and place on prepared baking sheet, spacing rolls 2 inches apart.
- Transfer to oven and bake until golden and bubbling, about 20 minutes. Serve.
