PRESSURE COOKER SPICY ORANGE BEEF
Pressure Cooker Chinese Take-Out Spicy Orange Beef & Rice is a one pot Asian dish. The rice cooks at the same time as the beef in the same pot.

Steps:
- Mix together sauce ingredients, add beef and marinate for at least 10 minutes
- Select Sauté or Browning on your Pressure Cooker and allow to heat.
- Add peanut oil to the Pressure Cooker Cooking pot. Add beef and the marinade and lightly brown, about two minutes.
- Turn off Pressure Cooker and add Orange Juice .
- If making this a One Pot Meal, add the Prepared PIP Rice now.
- Lock on lid and close Pressure Valve.
- Cook at High Pressure for 5 minutes.
- When Beep sounds, do a Quick Release. When all pressure is gone, open lid.
- Remove rice and trivet. Quickly place cover on rice to finish steaming.
- Dip a cup into liquid to remove about 1/4 cup, add Potato Starch and whisk until smooth. Pour the Potato Starch mixture into the sauce and combine.
- Select Sauté or Browning and simmer until sauce thickens.
- Stir in Scallions and mix for one minute. Turn off Pressure Cooker.
- Drizzle in the Sesame Oil. Squeeze 1/2 Orange over meat and sprinkle Orange Zest.
CRISPY ORANGE BEEF
Steps:
- Season flank steak strips with salt and pepper, then toss with cornstarch. Shake off excess.
- Fill a large frying pan with enough oil to cover the bottom by 1/4 to 1/2-inch. Heat the oil to 365 degrees F. First add noodles to oil and let cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Take out noodles and then, working in batches, fry the steak. Do not crowd pan. Drain on paper towels. Set aside.
- For the sauce: Heat the oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat and cook the garlic until fragrant; do not let the garlic brown. Add orange marmalade, 1/2 cup beef broth, soy sauce, and chiles. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes. In a small bowl, stir cornstarch into remaining 1/2 cup beef broth. Stir cornstarch mixture into simmering sauce. Return to a simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Make a bed of the frisee lettuce on a platter. Put the crispy noodles on top and then the beef. Pour sauce over beef and serve.

- Season beef with salt and pepper. Put oil in the cooking pot and select browning. When oil begins to sizzle, brown meat in batches until all meat is browned-do not crowd. Transfer meat to a plate when browned. When all meat is browned select Sauté and add garlic to the pot. Sauté for 1 minute. Add orange juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and orange zest to the pot. Add browned beef and any accumulated juices. Select High Pressure. Set timer for 12 minutes. When beep sounds turn pressure cooker off and use a quick pressure release. When valve drops carefully remove the lid. Combine the cornstarch and water, whisking until smooth. Add cornstarch mixture to the sauce in the pot stirring constantly. Select Simmer and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Stir in green onions. Serve over rice; garnish with additional orange zest, green onion and red pepper flakes if desired.

Steps:
- Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Pour in olive oil and heat until sizzling; add meat and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, 5 to 7 minutes per side.
- Transfer meat to a plate, reserving juices in the pot. Add jalapenos, garlic, and ginger to the pot. Cook and stir until tender, about 2 minutes. Season with curry powder.
- Pour 1/2 of the beef broth into the pot; scrape brown bits from the bottom of the pot using a wooden spoon. Return meat to the pot with remaining beef broth, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, and onion. Close and lock the lid.
- Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions and set timer for 35 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
- Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions for 10 minutes. Release remaining pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes more. Unlock and remove the lid.

When I first started out cooking, I did a lot of stir-frying. Although my menu has expanded, I still enjoy cooking and eating stir-fries. Oranges, ginger and pepper flakes give this dish a very distinctive flavor.

- In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients; set aside. In a large skillet or wok, heat 3 tablespoons oil over medium heat; saute garlic for 30 seconds. Add broccoli, onions, ginger and pepper flakes; stir-fry for 2 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Remove vegetables and keep warm. , Heat remaining oil in skillet; add beef. Stir-fry until no longer pink. Stir orange juice mixture; add to skillet. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Return vegetables to pan. Add oranges and heat through. SPICY ORANGE BEEF
Steps:
- Cut the beef into thin strips and slice the onion. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over a high flame. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Saute the beef until it just begins to brown. Add the orange juice, bouillon cubes and pepper flakes. Simmer until the beef is just done. If the sauce is thin, strain through a colander, reserving the beef. Return the sauce to a saucepan over a high heat. Reduce until the sauce reaches a desirable consistency or thicken with a little cornstarch.

- In a large bowl, whisk together cornstarch and salt.
- Add beef; toss to coat. Shake off any excess.
- In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat.
- Add half of beef and fry until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer beef to a colander.
- Wipe any browned bits from skillet, and repeat using remaining 3 tablespoons vegetable oil and second batch of beef. Wipe out skillet.
- Add sesame oil, garlic and ginger (if using) to skillet and cook for 1 minute over medium heat.
- Stir in chiles, orange juice, marmalade, soy sauce and vinegar and cook over medium-high heat until slightly syrupy, about 4 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium and stir in beef to coat with orange sauce.
- Heat through, 2 minutes.
- Serve beef and sauce over rice.
