FRESH TOMATO PIE image

Once you try this tomato pie I think you will like it. I had it when I was a kid . It was my grand mothers recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 7

Ingredients

1 - 9 inch pie shell baked and cooled
4 large tomatoes peeled and sliced
1 small onion
1 tablespoon(s) fresh basil
1 teaspoon(s) fresh chives
1 cup(s) mayo
1 cup(s) grated chedder cheese

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Sprinkle tomatoes with salt and drain on a paper towel.
Place layer of tomato,onion, salt, pepper, basil and chives in pie shell.
Blend mayo and cheese together and spread over top of pie.
Bake at 300 degrees until bubbly. Makes one pie
