Best Christmas Crack Recipe is a saltine cracker layered with melted toffee and creamy chocolate topped with a crunchy pecan for a complete sweet and salty treat. This recipe is so delicious and addicting!

35-40 saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a 10x15 inch baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place your saltine crackers in even rows and set aside.
  • In a saucepan over medium high heat melt the butter and brown sugar and whisk and let it boil for a few minutes.
  • Pour. over the. saltines and spread out and bake in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips and let it sit.
  • Spread the chocolate over the Saltines and sprinkle with chopped pecans and let it harden. Cut into pieces and serve

Round crackers
Ricotta cheese
Celery, sliced thin
Capers

Steps:

  • Use kitchen scissors to cut a pepperoni hat; attach to cracker with a dab of ricotta. Spread on a ricotta beard. Add celery slices for mustache and capers for eyes and nose. Cover bottom of hat with more ricotta for fluffy trim.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 pound bittersweet chocolate
80 buttery round crackers
½ teaspoon peppermint extract

Steps:

  • Using a double boiler method, melt the chocolate coatings over hot tap water for 15 - 20 minutes. Stir . Do not cook or get water into the chocolate.
  • After it is melted, stir in a couple drops of peppermint flavor into the chocolate.
  • Dip crackers into the melted chocolate and then place onto a cold cookie sheet and put into the refrigerator to set. (A freezing tray to rest the dipped cookies will keep the bottoms neat looking.)
  • In a few minutes take them out and package in candy cups. The cookies are best kept at room temperature or a cool dry place away from any odors.
