½ tsp chopped olives
½ cup horseradish, squeezed dry
1 ½ cup ketchup
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco sauce, to taste
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp cider vinegar
1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
Salt, to taste
Pinch sugar

Steps:

  • Put onions, olives, and horseradish into a small food processor.
  • Blend until a nice paste forms.
  • Transfer to a bowl and mix in ketchup, Worcestershire, Tabasco, lemon juice, cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, salt and sugar.

Steps:

  • Cut the lemon in half and add it to a large pot of boiling salted water. Add the shrimp and cook, uncovered, for only 3 minutes, until the shrimp are just cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon to a bowl of cool water. When the shrimp are cool enough to handle, peel and devein them. Keep cold until ready to serve.
