1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
4 ½ teaspoons red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
3 cups soy sauce
3 cups honey
1 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon sesame oil
½ lime, juiced
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir the garlic and red pepper flakes in the hot oil until fragrant, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the ginger, soy sauce, honey, orange juice, sesame oil, lime juice, and sesame seeds; stir. Cook until heated, 2 to 3 minutes more.

1 lb. jumbo shrimp (deveined & tail on)
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
2 tablespoons of honey
1 teaspoon of cornstarch
½ teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of soy sauce

Steps:

  • Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet. Add the shrimp and salt to the pan and cook just until the tails start to curl.
  • Mix the soy sauce, honey and cornstarch together in a small bowl and pour it over the shrimp.
  • Cook until the shrimp have turned pink and have curled up a bit.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for 3-4 minutes to let the sauce thicken a bit.
  • Serve over some white rice and garnish with fresh spring onions, crushed cashews and sesame seeds.

1 lb medium shrimp, shelled and deveined, with tails attached
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
2 -3 cups white sesame seeds
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons chinese rice wine
2 large eggs
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup peanut oil, plus additional for deep frying
1 cup water
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons peanut oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • To make sauce - whisk together the mustard, honey, oil and soy sauce until well combined. Set aside until ready to serve.
  • In a bowl, gently mix the shrimp with salt to coat salt.
  • Cover with cold water, slosh around a few times, drain the shrimp well, and then transfer to a cutting board.
  • Line up 3 shallow bowls and put 1 cup flour in one.
  • In the second, whisk together sesame oil, wine, eggs, cornstarch, baking soda and the remaining 1/2 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of the peanut oil and the 1 cup of water until well combined.
  • In the third bowl, add sesame seeds.
  • Heat a wok or large pot with peanut oil for deep frying over high heat until 360°F
  • Work in batches of 4-5 shrimp at a time. For each shrimp, hold by tail, dip in flour, then batter, then sesame seeds.
  • Deep fry in batches of 4-5 shrimp until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  • Serve with dipping sauce.

2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon canola oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
DIPPING SAUCE:
3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 garlic clove, minced

1 red onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons butter
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1/4 cup honey
1 lime, juice of
1 tablespoon soy sauce
chili pepper flakes, to the taste
1 1/2 lbs raw shrimp, shelled (with or without tail)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 teaspoons fresh chives, finely chopped
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • In a frying pan, brown the onion in butter. Add garlic, honey, lime juice, soy sauce and peppers flakes. Let reduce until the mixture is caramelized. Pour half of this mixture in a bowl.
  • Add half the shrimps and sesame seeds in the frying pan. Salt and pepper.
  • Cook 2 minutes at high high without stirring.
  • Stir and keep on cooking 1 to 2 minutes at high heat. Add chives. Set aside at a place that is hot to keep it hot.
  • Wash the frying pan. Heat the remaining mixture of onions (you did first) at high heat. Add the remaining shrimps and repeat the same steps for the cooking method.
  • You can adjust the seasonning. Serve on rice.

Sesame Shrimp, coated in fragrant sesame seeds and quickly seared in a tiny bit of sesame oil, are full of flavor and very low in fat.

4 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 to 2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
1 to 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 to 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail portion of shell removed
Four 6-inch bamboo skewers

Steps:

  • In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds until fragrant. In a shallow dish, combine 2 tablespoons of the sesame seeds with the sesame oil, vinegar, and soy sauce. Thread 3 shrimp onto each skewer, piercing each at the head and tail, and place in the marinade. Turn to coat and set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Spread the remaining 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds on a plate. Transfer the skewers to the plate and coat with the sesame seeds. Heat the skillet over medium-high heat and sear the skewered shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until opaque. Pour the remaining marinade over the shrimp and cook until the marinade thickens.
  • Place the skewers on a plate and pour the marinade over. Serve warm or at room temperature.

1/4 cup honey mustard dressing
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup honey mustard dressing
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
lemon wedge, for garnishing

Steps:

  • Combine shrimp, salad dressing, salt and garlic powder in Medium or Large Ziploc® Brand Zip 'n Steam™ bag.
  • Seal bag and shake to mix ingredients.
  • Pat ingredients into an even, single layer. Place bag in microwave.
  • Cook on full power 2 - 3 minutes, until shrimp are pink and cooked throughout (cooking times may vary depending on size of shrimp). If needed, continue microwaving for 30-second intervals until done.
  • Allow bag to stand 1 minute before opening.
  • Salt to taste. Serve with dipping sauce and garnish with lemon wedges.
  • For Dipping sauce, combine all of ingredints in a bowl and serve with shrimp.

2 tablespoons sesame oil, divided
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Dash lemon-pepper seasoning
1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
Hot cooked rice, optional
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

Steps:

  • In a resealable plastic bag, combine the soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, lemon juice, garlic powder and lemon-pepper; add shrimp. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 30 minutes., Drain and discard marinade. In a skillet, saute shrimp in remaining sesame oil until shrimp turn pink, about 3 minutes. Serve with rice if desired. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
