Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, cook and stir the water and sugars over medium-high heat until sugar is dissolved. Turn down heat and simmer about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Cool completely.
  • Using a funnel, pour into a bottle with an air-tight lid or pump dispenser. Store on your counter-top for 1 to 2 months.

Steps:

  • Combine sugar, water, and ground coffee in a pot over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a rolling boil, about 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool, about 30 minutes.

This particular recipe lends itself to endless variations limited only by your imagination!

8 cups strong freshly brewed coffee

Steps:

  • Place 2 cups of ice cubes into a 2-quart pitcher; slowly pour coffee over ice and stir until ice is melted. Stir sugar into coffee and mix thoroughly until sugar is completely dissolved. Add milk, stirring just until combined. Stir in remaining 2 cups ice, adding more as needed; refrigerate until well chilled, about 30 minutes.
