Steps:
- In 3 or 3 1/2-quart slow cooker, combine meatballs and onion. Sprinkle brown sugar and soup mix over beef and onion. Pour beer over top.
- Cover; cook on Low setting for 5 to 6 hours.
- Just before serving, gently stir mixture to coat meatballs with sauce. Serve with toothpicks. Meatballs can be held on Low setting for up to 1 hour.

These tasty meatballs will disappear quickly from anyone's holiday party. My mom makes them every year for New Years Eve, and now so do I. These do very well in a slow cooker, as you can simmer them before serving, as well as keep them hot for the duration of your party.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, water, bread crumbs, and minced onion. Roll into small meatballs.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, turning once.
- In a slow cooker or large saucepan over low heat, blend the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Add meatballs, and simmer for 1 hour before serving.

- In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine meatballs, onion, brown sugar, soup mix and beer. Cook, covered, on low until meatballs are heated through, 3-4 hours. , Place 5-6 meatballs on each bun bottom. Can't remember where this came from. Great appetizer, and if you don't have time to make homemade meatballs (even though you should still try to because they are great!). You can buy the store bought ones and put them in the sauce!

- In a large bowl whisk egg, then whisk in soup mix. Stir in stuffing or croutons, and add beef. Mix well. Shape into 1 inch meatballs (about 50). Place meatballs in ungreased 15 in x 10 in x 1 in dish.
- Bake meatballs for 15 minutes at 350°F, or until done. Drain fat. Place in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl combine sauce ingredients. Pour over meatballs.
- Cover and cook on high about 2 hours.

BAVARIAN STYLE MEATBALLS
These are very good, and very easy; the meatballs are made in cooked in a slow cooker. I sometimes like to add a can of chunk pineapple when I make them, and then I substitute pineapple juice for the water.
