1 cup rice
2 cups water
2 tablespoons onion soup mix
1/4 cup margarine

Steps:

  • Mix the rice and water in a microwave bowl.
  • Cover and microwave on high for 13 minutes.
  • Let the rice sit in the microwave for about 10 minutes after the microwave turns itself off.
  • Remove from the bowl and rinse in a colander under cold running water.
  • Return the rice to the bowl, add the margarine in pieces, add the soup powder, mix, cover and microwave for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove, mix one more time and serve.

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 1/3 cups water (1 soup can) or 1 1/3 cups milk (1 soup can)
2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked

Steps:

  • Boil the soup and water or milk in a medium sauce pan. (To measure the water, just fill up the soup can).
  • Stir in the rice.
  • Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
  • Stir and serve!

  • In a saucepan, combine soup and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in rice and peas and remove from heat. Step 2
  • Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir gently. Sprinkle with chives. Recipe Tips Switch up the flavor of this tasty side by using any variety of condensed soup you like. Try Cheddar cheese, cream of broccoli or asparagus, cream of bacon or onion soup. Instead of peas, try finely-chopped broccoli florets, red pepper, black beans, corn, shredded kale or baby spinach in this dish. To make this into a more filling main, add 1 cup of cooked ground beef or shredded chicken. Or, add 1 drained can of tuna or chicken. If you have leftovers of this dish, stir-fry some Asian-style frozen vegetables with sesame oil. Add the leftover rice and stir-fry until heated through. Stir in a beaten egg and continue to stir-fry until the egg is set. Serve with soy sauce.
