Steps:

  • Muddle 2 lime wedges and some mint leaves in each glass and add ice. Mix 2 cups simple syrup, 2 cups water, 1 1/2cups fresh lime juice and 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice in a pitcher; pour into the glasses.
  • Simple Syrup: To make 2 cups simple syrup, bring 1 1/2cups each sugar and water to a boil, stirring until dissolved. Let cool.

3/4 cup fresh lime juice (5-6 limes), plus extra slices for garnish
1/2 cup + 2 Tablespoons white sugar
1/4 cup packed fresh mint, plus extra for garnish
2-1/2 cups club soda (not seltzer or mineral water)

Steps:

  • Combine lime juice, sugar, and mint in a 2 cup (or larger) measuring cup then stir until sugar is dissolved, muddling mint in the process. Refrigerate until chilled (the longer you refrigerate, the more mint flavor you will taste in the final drink.)
  • Pour the lime/mint mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher then slowly pour in club soda and stir gently. Pour limeade into 8oz glasses filled with ice then serve with extra limes and mint.

1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar​​
1 cup lime juice (from 12-15 limes)
2 cups sparkling​ water (- chilled)
¾ cup simple syrup
ice, lime slices or wedges, and mint, as desired

Steps:

  • To make simple syrup, combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Stir​ over medium-heat until ​the ​sugar dissolves and the mixture boils, then lower heat to medium and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove pan from the heat and cool to room temperature. Pour syrup into a sealed glass container and store in the fridge until ready to use.
  • ​To make limeade, combine lime juice, sparkling water, and about ¾ cup simple syrup in a large pitcher. Stir to combine. Taste, and add more simple syrup if you desire a sweeter drink.
  • Add ice, lime slices or wedges, and mint leaves for garnish, as desired. Serve cold!

1 cup sugar
6 ounces raspberries, plus more for garnish
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 10 limes)
1 liter club soda
Ice, for serving
1 lime, thinly sliced, for garnish

Steps:

  • Add the sugar, 1 cup water and berries to a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and press against the berries with the back of the wooden spoon so their juices leach into the mixture. Let sit and steep until cool.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the cooled raspberry simple syrup, lime juice and club soda. Pour into tall glasses filled with ice and garnish with a slice of lime and a few extra berries for garnish.

ELECTRIC BLOOD ORANGE LIMEADE WITH MUDDLED MINT

1 handful fresh mint leaves
1/4 cup simple syrup (equal amounts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves; cool)
1 cup light rum
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup fresh blood orange juice
1 cup sparkling water
4 cups crushed ice
Blood orange segments and fresh mint sprigs, for garnish

Steps:

  • Using a mortar and pestle, muddle mint until the oils are released (you will smell the mint). Pour the simple syrup into a large pitcher. Add rum, lime juice and blood orange juice and stir vigorously. Add the crushed mint and the sparkling water. Divide the ice among 4 glasses or cups. Pour the limeade mixture into each glass and garnish with blood oranges and fresh mint sprigs.
