Bourbon Honey Steak Tips recipe makes flavorful, easy steak bites perfect for a fast meal or hearty appetizer.

2 pounds steak
⅓ cup honey
¼ cup bourbon
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 to 2 cloves garlic (minced)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • See post above for substitutions
  • In a bowl with a lid, whisk together honey, bourbon, soy, Worcestershire, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add steak cubes, seal, shake, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Heat your cast iron pan on medium-high heat. When it's hot add vegetable oil and butter. Once the oil and butter ripple, add steak.
  • You probably need to cook it in a couple of batches. You don't want to crowd the pan so that the steak sear and don't steam.
  • Cook until seared on all sides. Remove from pan. Pour pan drippings over the top.
  • Garnish as desired.

⅓ cup bourbon
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup water
1 Tbsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp hot sauce
2 pounds sirloin steak (cut into 2-2½" pieces)
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • Using a large bowl, whisk together all ingredients except for steak tips.
  • Place steak tips in a large ziptop plastic bag. Add marinade; turn steak tips several times to ensure well coated.
  • Close bag, squeezing out all air as you close it. Refrigerate for 6-8 hours, or overnight.
  • Using a large cast iron pan, add vegetable oil and butter. Place over medium-high heat. Once butter has melted, add steak tips. Cook, turning occasionally, until steak reaches desired level of doneness.
  • Let steak tips rest for 5 minutes before serving.

2 1/2 - 3 lbs sirloin steak tips
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 1/2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons bourbon
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sriracha
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 teaspoon marjoram (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Steps:

  • In a bowl, mix together the Worcestershire, honey, bourbon, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, marjoram, salt and pepper. Whisk together.
  • In a small baking dish or plastic bag, lay the steak tips down add the marinade over the top. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  • Once marinated, heat a grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak tips and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or more if they're especially large. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Serve hot!

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

2 pounds steak (rib-eye sirloin, or filet), cut into chunks
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons butter divided
1 (6-ounce) package mushrooms cut in quarters

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, brown sugar, bourbon, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes, and garlic. Pour into a large ziptop bag. Add steak cubes and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours. Heat vegetable oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Add steak. You will probably need to cook it in two batches because you don't want to crowd the pan. Cook until seared on all sides. Remove from pan. Add remaining butter to pan and cook mushrooms until browned.
