Besides the variations on the dressing, I added feta cheese to the salad. It was scrumptious! Even spinach haters ate it up! I made this for a party and there were a lot more servings as a buffet item than 8.

¼ teaspoon paprika

Steps:

Toss strawberries, spinach, and feta cheese together in a large bowl.

Steps:

Place spinach into a large salad bowl and slice strawberries over spinach; sprinkle with feta cheese, onion, and bacon bits. Pour raspberry dressing over salad and toss to coat.

1 cup pecans
1 egg white
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 cup salad oil
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon celery seed
2 tablespoons corn syrup
6 cups fresh spinach, washed and dried
2 cups strawberries, sliced (or any fruit desired for color)
3/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced

Steps:

Make spiced pecans. Beat egg white until very frothy, but not stiff. Add remaining ingredients, excluding pecans. Now add pecans and mix to coat. Spread pecans on baking sheet in single layer and bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 45 minutes, turning every 15 minutes.
For dressing, shake together all ingredients. Toss together salad ingredients. Toss dressing with salad just before serving, sprinkle dressed salad with pecans.

7 -10 cups fresh Baby Spinach (washed, dried and stems removed, or use as much as desired)
5 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds (candied almonds are good too!)
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese (can use more)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar (or use raspberry wine vinegar or white wine vinegar)
1/4-1/3 cup white sugar
1 pinch paprika
1 -2 tablespoon poppy seed

Steps:

In a large bowl toss the spinach with the strawberries and toasted almonds.
In another small bowl whisk together all dressing ingredients, starting with 1/4 cup sugar and adding in more to taste, then pour over the spinach; toss to combine.
Sprinkle the feta over the top of salad.
Serve immediately.

½ cup white sugar

1 quart strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced

Steps:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover, and chill for one hour.

Pour some cold water into a small bowl or a cup and soak the red onion slices while you’re preparing the salad. That step will help get rid of the harsh oniony taste (you can skip this step if you don’t mind raw onion flavor).
Toast the pecans in a dry skillet on medium low heat for a couple minutes, shaking often. They should brown on the edges but make sure not to toast them too long or they will get bitter.
Prepare the dressing. Whisk all dressing ingredients in a small bowl or add to a mason jar, close the lid and shake vigorously. Set aside.
Assemble the salad. In a large bowl add baby spinach, strawberries, blueberries, toasted pecans, feta cheese and red onions (drained on a sieve).
