Strawberry Basil Lemonade image

Whenever my roommates and I go out to dinner, we usually end up at Houlihan's and ordering at least two basil lemonades each. I absolutely love the crisp, fruity, and tangy taste, and these drinks definitely get us pumped for a night out on the town! I have searched all over for a recipe that mocks or even resembles these drinks and this is what I found. Enjoy :]

3 large basil leaves
1 1/2 ounces strawberry vodka
1 ounce strawberry, pureed
5/8 cup lemonade

Steps:

  • Mix vodka and puree in a mixing glass or martini shaker.
  • Add ice, and shake for 15 seconds and pour into a glass.
  • Fill with lemonade and stir.
  • Add basil leaves and enjoy!

Here's what you need: strawberry, sugar, lemon, water, fresh basil leaves

Number Of Ingredients 5

¾ cup strawberry, pureed
4 tablespoons sugar
1 lemon, use ½ for juice and other ½ for zest
2 cups water
4 fresh basil leaves

Steps:

  • Boil water and, once boiling, add sugar and wait for sugar to dissolve. Once it does, turn off the stove and wait for the water to become warm.
  • Once the water cools down, add the lemon juice and zest into it and stir gently. To this, add strawberry puree and portion into glasses.
  • Garnish with ice and basil and serve.
  • Enjoy!

12 fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
¼ cup white sugar
7 cups water, divided
¾ cup white sugar
1 cup lemon juice
2 cups ice cubes

Steps:

  • Mix strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar together in a bowl; set aside for juices to release from strawberries, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan; add 3/4 cup sugar. Cook and stir sugar mixture until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and cool simple syrup to room temperature.
  • Stir simple syrup, 6 cups water, lemon juice, and ice together in a pitcher. Add sweetened strawberries and stir.
