SUNNY'S NUNYA BUSINESS PASTA PIZZA PIE

Cooking spray, for coating the baking dish
24 ounces pizza sauce
30 ounces fresh ravioli or tortelloni
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 cup shredded Cheddar/Monterey Jack blend
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Red chile flakes, to taste
Ground black pepper
One 6-ounce package pepperoni slices
1/4 cup grated Pecorino-Romano, for garnish
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Coat the bottom and sides of a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Add just enough pizza sauce to the baking dish to coat the bottom. Begin to layer with half the pasta (uncooked), half of the remaining sauce, half of the mozzarella, half of the Cheddar blend, a pinch of Italian seasoning and some red chile flakes and black pepper. Repeat the layers a second time.
  • Press the layers down to level and add 1/2 cup water to the dish along the sides (to not mess up the top). Top with the pepperoni. Sprinkle over some red chile flakes and another pinch of Italian seasoning and black pepper.
  • Bake until the edges are bubbling and the pepperoni is beginning to curl on the edges, 50 to 60 minutes. Remove and immediately top with the Pecorino-Romano and hand-ripped basil. Allow to cool about 10 minutes before slicing.

1 prebaked 12-inch thin pizza crust
6 large eggs
1-1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup chopped sweet red pepepr
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 small onion, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450°. Place crust on a greased pizza pan. Using a 2-1/2-in. biscuit cutter, cut out 6 circles from crust. (Remove circles and save for another use.) Break an egg into each hole. Sprinkle with cheese, bacon, peppers and onion. Bake until eggs are completely set, 8-10 minutes.

3 cups self-rising flour, plus more for rolling
2 cups plain Greek yogurt
1 heaping tablespoon garlic and herb seasoning blend
1 cup pizza sauce, BBQ sauce, pesto or Alfredo sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella
3 toppings such as pepperoni, cooked sausage, garlic, onions and peppers, chopped rotisserie chicken, ham, pineapple, olives, etc.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • For the dough: In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, add the flour, yogurt and seasoning blend and mix until combined and tacky. Scrape off the dough from the paddle and replace the paddle with the kneading (dough hook) attachment. Sprinkle in a bit more flour and knead on medium until a ball forms. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a big thin circle or divide the dough in half to make 2 pizzas.
  • For the toppings: Place the pizza on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Leaving a 1-inch border around the edge of the dough, top the pizza evenly with the sauce and cheese, then the selected toppings. Bake until the edges are golden brown, 8 to 12 minutes.

I got this from food network on Sunny Anderson's show Cooking for Real. It's a delicious recipe and it's so simple! The recipe calls for focaccia but I used a persian loaf and it worked great.

1 cup water
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1/2 ounce mushroom
1 piece focaccia bread
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
8 ounces buffalo mozzarella
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
4 garlic cloves (roughly chopped)
20 pepperoni slices
1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
2 cups fresh basil leaves

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Put the mushrooms in a saucepan with the white wine vinegar and cook until theyre just about tender and drain the vinegar out.
  • Slice the bread to create 2 pizzas and put them crust side up on an oiled baking sheet.
  • In a bowl, squeeze the tomatoes and break them up by hand then place on the pizza halves.
  • Pull the pieces of buffalo mozzarella from the ball and place on the pizzas.
  • Top with the mushrooms, shredded mozarella, garlic and pepperoni.
  • Bake until the cheese is melted and crust is crispy, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the fresh basil and parmesan.
