BLENDER HOLLANDAISE

Blender Hollandaise image

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     condiment

Time 8m

Yield 4 servings (1/3 cup)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 large egg yolk
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Pinch cayenne pepper
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Put the egg yolk, lemon juice, and cayenne in a blender. Pulse a couple times to combine.
  • Put the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and melt in a microwave until just melted. With the blender running, gradually add the melted butter into the egg to make a smooth frothy sauce. If the sauce is very thick, blend in a teaspoon of lukewarm water to loosen it up. Season with the salt and serve immediately or keep warm in a small heat-proof bowl set over hot (but not simmering) water until ready to serve.

SUPER SIMPLE BLENDER HOLLANDAISE RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Super Simple Blender Hollandaise Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Provided by Foodiewife

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 egg yolks, room temperature
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch of cayenne
2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (I like the tang of lemon juice, so decrease to 1 tablespoon, if you desire)
1/2 cup unsalted butter (1-stick)

Steps:

  • Note: Hollandaise sauce doesn't reheat very well. I recommend that you measure and prepare all of the ingredients and make this right before you want to serve it. If necessary, you can place the blender of hollandaise sauce into a bowl of very warm water to keep warm. Place the egg yolks, lemon juice, salt and cayenne into the blender. Melt the butter into a saucepan (I prefer to use my microwave) and heat until just foaming. Blend the egg yolk mixture, in the blender, for a few seconds. Slowly, and carefully, begin pouring the melted butter. The sauce will begin to thicken. Turn the blender on high for about 30 seconds, until the sauce is thick and creamy. Note: I used my Vitamix blender, so I turn mine on turbo-high, which also helps to heat it up more. Serve immediately. Serving suggestions: serve over asparagus. To make Eggs Benedicts, place 1 to 2 slices of Canadian Bacon over 1 English Muffins, split open. Poach two eggs and lay on top. Spoon hollandaise sauce on top, garnish with a pinch of paprika-- enjoy!

BLENDER HOLLANDAISE SAUCE

Blender Hollandaise Sauce image

The easiest way to get perfect Hollandaise sauce is to use a blender. This recipe has all the same ingredients as the classic, but no double boiler and no chance of the sauce separating. I love the lemony flavor on fresh steamed asparagus!

QUICK BLENDER HOLLANDAISE

Quick Blender Hollandaise image

This recipe is from Sunkist, years ago. I make it often because it is my husband's favorite and it is quick and easy. It can be warmed up after refrigeration by sitting the container of sauce in a dish filled with hot water. Just keep stirring and replacing the hot water and eventually the sauce gets warm to serve.

Provided by connie427

Categories     Sauces

Time 20m

Yield 1 cup

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 cup butter
4 egg yolks
2 -3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (I use 3T)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper

Steps:

  • Heat butter til bubbly.
  • Meanwhile place egg yolks, fresh lemon juice, salt and pepper in electric blender. Turn the blender on and off quickly. Then turn to hi speed and slowly add the bubbly butter in a very thin but steady stream.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Refrigerate leftover sauce. To serve again, bring to room temperature or place container of sauce in a dish with hot water and continue to stir the sauce. You might have to keep replacing the water as it cools with more hot water til the sauce gets warm enough to serve.

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash of cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon cream
1 cup (1/2 pound) melted sweet butter, heated until bubbling but not brown
1 tablespoon lemon juice or white wine vinegar

Steps:

  • Place egg yolks, salt, pepper and cream in blender, blend for a few seconds at high speed until you have a smooth frothy mixture. Still at high speed, start adding hot butter in a thin, steady stream, not too slowly. As you add butter, the sauce should thicken. When half the butter has been added, add lemon juice or vinegar. Continue blending until all butter is used.

PERFECT BLENDER HOLLANDAISE SAUCE

Perfect Blender Hollandaise Sauce image

This sauce turns out perfect EVERY time. It never separates. I use it on alot of things besides asparagus. I especially like it on salmon and shrimp.

Provided by Realtor by day

Categories     Sauces

Time 10m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 dash hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup butter

Steps:

  • In the container of a blender, combine the egg yolks, mustard, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce. Cover, and blend for about 5 seconds.
  • Place the butter in a glass measuring cup. Heat butter in the microwave for about 1 minute, or until completely melted and hot. Set the blender on high speed, and pour the butter into the egg yolk mixture in a thin stream. It should thicken almost immediately. You can serve the sauce right away as it is. OR -- Because I worry about the egg yolks not being cooked enough, I like to pour the sauce into a glass measuring cup which I then set in a pan of simmering water. I cook it slowly for about 5 minutes so it's good and hot and the yolks are completely cooked this way.

  • With the blender running, slowly stream in melted butter and allow the sauce to emulsify. If the sauce is very thick, stream in a little warm water, a few drops at a time, until the sauce has reached the consistency of your choice.
