1 pound ground beef
1 egg
¼ cup dry bread crumbs
1 onion, diced
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups water
¼ cup distilled white vinegar
3 tablespoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs and onion. Mix thoroughly and shape into golf ball-sized balls.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, gently brown the meatballs and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, combine the brown sugar, flour, water, white vinegar and soy sauce. Mix thoroughly. Add meatballs and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, for 30 minutes.

½ cup apricot preserves
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
½ teaspoon ground ginger
2 cups drained pineapple chunks
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir sausage, onion, and bell pepper in the hot skillet until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Whisk apricot preserves, cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger in a small bowl; stir mixture into sausage mixture. Cook and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes. Add pineapple chunks and tomatoes. Continue to cook and stir until heated through, about 10 minutes more.

1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook sausage until a thermometer reads 160° drain. When cool enough to handle, cut into bite-size pieces; set aside. , Combine the sugar, cornstarch, water, vinegar and ketchup; add to skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add pineapple and sausage; heat through. Serve with rice.

1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks
4 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup white vinegar
1 large green pepper, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
1/2 cup maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute the sausage for 3-5 minutes or until lightly browned. Drain on paper towels; set aside. Drain pineapple, reserving juice; set the pineapple aside., In a large skillet, combine the cornstarch, salt and reserved pineapple juice until smooth. Stir in the syrup, water and vinegar. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2-3 minutes or until thickened. Add the sausage, green pepper, cherries and pineapple. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until peppers are crisp-tender. Transfer to a shallow serving dish. Serve with toothpicks.

1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 medium green pepper, cut into strips

  • In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 2 dozen 1-1/2-in. balls. Place in a greased 2-qt. baking dish. , For sauce, combine brown sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. 1 egg
1 onion, chopped
1 cup dry bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup water
½ cup cider vinegar
½ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Roll into meatballs about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in size.

1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon

½ cup red wine vinegar
½ cup ketchup
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
½ teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Roll sausage into 100 very small balls using no more than 1 1/2 teaspoons meat per ball.
  • Stir red wine vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, and ground ginger together in a large saucepan over medium heat; bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook at a simmer until beginning to thicken, about 15 minutes.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Fry sausage balls in batches in the hot skillet until browned on all sides and no longer pink in the center, 3 to 5 minutes per batch. Remove cooked sausage balls with a slotted spoon to the saucepan and stir into the sauce to coat.
