The Belmont Jewel Cocktail is the official drink of the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the famous Triple Crown.

1.5 oz bourbon
2 oz lemonade
1 oz pomegranate juice
lemon wedge, for garnish

Steps:

Combine the bourbon, lemonade, and pomegranate juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake until very cold and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Belmont Stakes organizers tried for years to come up with the right cocktail and, after a couple of failed attempts called the White Carnation and the Belmont Breeze, they finally landed on the Belmont Jewel in 2011.
