Toasted Party Mix Recipes

PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
• Dump the corn, wheat and rice cereal into a large mixing bowl. Add the pretzel sticks and nuts.
• In a microwave-safe bowl, add the butter, Worcestershire, seasoned salt, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, hot sauce and garlic and microwave until the butter is melted. Stir together and toss into the cereal mixture, stirring as you go.
• Transfer the mixture to 1 or 2 baking sheets and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
• Grab a handful every 40 minutes. Eat. Spoil your appetite.

THE ORIGINAL CHEX PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Heat oven to 250 degrees.
• Melt butter in large roasting pan in oven. Stir in seasonings. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
• Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.

ORIGINAL CHEX™ PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.

TOASTED CEREAL PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cereals, Cheezits and nuts.
• In another bowl, mix the seasonings with the melted margarine.
• Pour over the cereal mixture and stir to coat the cereal evenly.
• Spread out mixture on a cookie sheet.
• Bake at 325° for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
• Store in an airtight jar or plastic container.
• This mix tastes best if you make it 3 or 4 days ahead.

TOASTED PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
• In a large roasting pan, melt margarine. Mix in seasoning salt, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, and garlic salt.
• Stir crispy rice, corn, wheat and oat cereals, pretzels and nuts into the butter mixture and coat well.
• Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels and peanuts. In a microwave, melt chips; stir until smooth. Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat. Immediately spread onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets; let stand until set, about 20 minutes. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.

SPICED PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 325°F.
• Whisk together egg whites, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, paprika, and cayenne in a large bowl. Add popcorn, pretzels, nuts, and salt to taste and toss until thoroughly coated.
• Spread evenly in 2 buttered large shallow baking pans (1 inch deep) and bake in upper and lower thirds of oven, switching position of pans halfway through baking, until coating is crisp, about 20 minutes total.
• Spread mixture on 2 large sheets of parchment paper or oiled foil and cool completely.

TOASTED PARTY MIX RECIPE

Steps:

• Heat oven to 275 degrees. In 13x9x2 pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in salt, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt and garlic salt. Add cereal, pretzels and nuts. Toss until well coated with butter mixture. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.

TOASTED SNACK MIX

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 275 degrees. In a shallow bowl, combine crackers, pretzels, and nuts. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, cook butter and garlic until butter starts to bubble, about 4 minutes.
• Add remaining ingredients to pan; stir to combine. Bring to a simmer; cook about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove garlic, and discard. Drizzle butter over cracker mixture, tossing to coat.
• Spread mixture evenly in two rimmed baking sheets. Bake until toasted and fragrant, about 30 minutes, stirring once or twice to cook evenly. Remove from oven. Serve warm or at room temperature.
