Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400º F. Lightly butter a 9x13 baking dish or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- Stir together the diced potatoes, half of the cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic in a large mixing bowl. Spread into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake until the potatoes are fork tender, about 30 minutes and then top the hashbrown casserole with the remaining cheddar cheese. Return the hashbrown casserole to the oven until the cheese has melted.
- Serve warm.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown and crumble the ground beef with both packages of dry onion soup mix. Drain meat into a colander; using paper towels or a clean dish towel, press down on the beef and squeeze out as much of the liquid as possible.
- Unroll one tube of crescent rolls into the prepared baking dish. Flatten slightly to seal the seams and cover the bottom as necessary. Top with ground beef. Add cheese slices. Top with pickles and drizzle with mustard. Unroll the other tube of crescent rolls over the top, sealing seams and covering the contents in the pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- To serve, cut into squares and serve with additional condiments if desired.

- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with oil. Fill the bottom of the dish with one layer of the potatoes (about 4 cups). Drizzle the potatoes with 1 tablespoon of the oil. Bake until hot and crisp, about 20 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and red and green peppers. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of black pepper. - Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Top the casserole with the remaining potatoes (about 2 cups). Bake until the egg mixture is set and the top is lightly golden brown, 50 to 60 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.

- Lay whole can of crescent rolls in bottom of pan (do not break apart)
- Layer hamburger mixture, cheese, pickles and squirt mustard up and down across pan.
- Put whole can of crescent rolls on top.
- Bake at 350 until golden brown.
- Cut in squares.
- Hints I find shredded cheese taste better. I also made one with shredded pepper jack cheese. The people went for that one first.

OMG.. there isn't even a category for this.. it has to be right up there as the Queen of White Trash Cooking..if you aren't familiar with White Castles..they're similar to Castle Burgers. I found an old W.C. cookbook the other day and this was a winner. You make it up the night before and chill it, so it's ready to bake in the morning.

- Separate hamburgers and pickles from bun tops and bottoms.
- Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Line entire pan, coming up halfway on the sides of the pan with the bottoms and tops of the buns.
- Chop and crumble the hamburger,and sprinkle over the buns evenly.
- Sprinkle with the cheese.
- Combine eggs,milk ,salt and pepper, green chilies (I would throw in a shot or two of Tabasco sauce).
- Pour this mixture over the cheese.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until set, uncovered in a preheated 350°F oven.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika and the pickles.
