1 pound French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 quart heavy cream
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Place French bread in a large bowl. Pour heavy cream over bread and let soak. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix all together with your hands. Add white chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly, 40 to 45 minutes.
  • While bread pudding is baking, prepare the sauce. Combine white chocolate chips and heavy cream in a small saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until melted. Drizzle a small amount of sauce over each serving.

Brown sugar and butter are what make blondies so incredibly addictive. Most times, they are made with chocolate chips and sometimes butterscotch chips, but when I tried them with white chocolate and toasted pecans, a new blondie was born. Give them a go and you'll see what I mean.

1 cup (2 sticks/225 grams) salted butter, melted
2 cups (340 grams) light brown sugar
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 cups (284 grams) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon fine salt
1 1/2 cups (9 ounces/ 255 grams) white chocolate chips
1 cup (142 grams) pecans, toasted and chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla.
  • Whisk in the eggs one at a time until well combined.
  • Using a large metal spoon, fold in the flour, salt, chocolate chips, and pecans. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the middle is just set. Don't be tempted to bake them for longer than that, or you won't get gooey centers. Let the blondies cool completely in the pan.
  • Turn the blondies out onto a cutting board and cut into 9 squares. Enjoy warm, or cover and store at room temperature for up to 3 days.

7 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 cups half and half
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup of white chocolate chips
1 tlb. vanilla extract
1/2 french loaf, broken into small pieces
1 stick butter, salted
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup pure maple syrup (I used my home canned pear almond syrup)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup heavy cream

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat the eggs and add the half and half. Add sugar and vanilla, beat until smooth. Add bread and white chocolate chips. Stir. Pour into greased baking dish. Make sure the dish you are using will fit into a larger dish. You'll need to bake the bread pudding in a water bath. Sit the dish with the pudding into the larger pan. Place both pans onto the top rack of the oven. Pour warm water into the larger dish until it reaches approximately 3/4 the way up the smaller pudding dish. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Allow to sit in the oven for 10 additional minutes after turning the heat off. Carefully remove the dishes from the oven. Remove the pudding from the water bath and discard the water. Add the caramel sauce to the pudding or serve it one the side. For the caramel sauce: Melt the butter in a sauce pan. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup and vanilla. 1 ¼ cups white sugar
½ cup water
¼ cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 ¼ cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup chopped toasted pecans
2 tablespoons bourbon
2 cups whole milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup white sugar
8 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
8 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 pound egg bread, sliced into 1 inch pieces

Steps:

  • To make sauce: stir 1 1/4 cups sugar and water in heavy large saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Mix in corn syrup and lemon juice. Increase heat and boil without stirring until syrup turns deep amber, brushing down sides of pan with wet pastry brush and swirling pan occasionally. Remove from heat; pour in 1 1/4 cups cream (mixture will bubble up), stir over low heat until caramel is melted and smooth. Increase heat and boil until sauce is reduced to 1 2/3 cups, stirring often, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat; mix in pecans and bourbon.
  • To make pudding: preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine milk, 2 cups cream, and 1 cup sugar in heavy large saucepan over medium high heat, stir until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to boil. Remove from heat, add chocolate, and stir until smooth.
  • Beat eggs and vanilla in large bowl to blend. Gradually whisk in chocolate mixture; add bread cubes and let stand until bread absorbs some of the custard, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Transfer mixture to a 13x9x2-inch glass baking dish. Cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until set in center, about 45 minutes. Serve pudding warm or at room temperature with warm sauce.

1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
1 quart half-and-half or 1 quart milk
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
6 eggs
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1/2 cup store-bought caramel topping
whipped cream (optional) or non-dairy whipped topping (optional)

Steps:

  • Spray a microwave safe 2-quart square casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place bread cubes in casserole; sprinkle in pecans, then pour melted butter over all. Toss lightly.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Whisk together half and half, eggs, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Pour evenly over bread cubes and let stand 5 minutes.
  • Microwave on Medium (50% power) 10-12 minutes, until mixture is just beginning to set.
  • Place in preheated oven 12-15 minutes until pudding is puffed and golden brown.
  • Remove from oven to wire rack; let stand 15 minutes to cool slightly.
  • Soften caramel topping in microwave to a pourable consistency; drizzle over warm bread pudding.

1 vanilla bean, split
8 large eggs
1 loaf Brioche, Challah, or other sweet bread
4 ounces butter, melted
16 ounces white chocolate, chunked
2 cups milk
2 cups heavy cream
2/3 cups sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Cut the brioche loaf into 1 inch dice. Place in a 2 quart baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter. Toss chunked white chocolate with bread cubes.
  • Combine milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla bean and bring to a boil over medium heat until sugar is disolved. Whisk eggs until smooth. Add hot milk mixture to eggs slowly, stirring contsantly. Do not wisk or custard will have a great deal of foam on the surface. Skim foam from custard. Strain custard over bread and chocolate. Let stand for 10 minutes to allow custard to soak into bread.
  • Place baking dish in another larger pan. Pour hot water into larger dish to reach 1 inch up side of dish. Bake the bread pudding for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until custard is set and brioche is golden.

2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup apple cider
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup raisins
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 large eggs, beaten to blend
1/4 cup dark rum
5 ounces good-quality white chocolate, coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Arrange bread on large baking sheet; bake until dry, about 10 minutes. Transfer bread to large bowl. Increase temperature to 350°F.
  • Stir sugar, syrup and water in heavy medium saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil without stirring until amber color, brushing down sides of pan with wet pastry brush and swirling pan occasionally, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Add cider and butter. Return to low heat; stir until sauce comes to simmer. Cover pan and simmer until caramel bits dissolve, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Set pan over ice; stir until caramel cools to lukewarm, about 5 minutes.
  • Mix raisins, spices, eggs, then rum into caramel. Add to bread. Mix in white chocolate. Let stand about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Butter eight 3/4-cup custard cups. Divide pudding among cups. Place in large baking pan. Pour hot water into pan to come halfway up sides of cups.
  • Bake puddings until set in center, about 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.

1 tablespoon plus 1 cup butter, softened, divided
1-1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Line a 13x9-in. pan with foil; butter the foil with 1 tablespoon butter. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips; set aside. , In a heavy saucepan, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until a candy thermometer reads 248° (firm-ball stage)., Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into prepared pan (do not scrape saucepan). Cool completely before cutting.
