Angel Food Strawberry Parfaits Recipes

STRAWBERRY PARFAITS

Steps:

• Hull and quarter 1 quart strawberries. Toss with 1 teaspoon sugar in a large bowl. Sprinkle a layer of gingersnap crumbs or graham cracker crumbs in the bottom of parfait glasses. Top with the berries. Mix 1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt with 2 tablespoons honey and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, then spoon over the berries.

AMERICAN ANGEL FOOD PARFAIT

Steps:

• 1. Lightly rinse and pat dry the berries.
• 2. Tear the angel food cake into bite-sized chunks (no need to be even).
• 3. Start with placing half of the cake chunks in bottom of container.
• 4. Sprinkle a layer of strawberries (or raspberries) and blueberries.
• 5. Spread half of Cool Whip over berries.
• 6. Repeat steps 3-5. Decorate top with leftover berries. Serve :-)

ITALIAN-STYLE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

Steps:

• Set aside a few pretty strawberry slices for garnish; sprinkle remaining strawberries with sugar in a bowl and let stand for 10 minutes for juice to form.
• Mix mascarpone cheese and whipped topping together in a separate bowl. Place torn pieces of angel food cake into a trifle dish; spread strawberries and their juice on cake pieces and top with mascarpone mixture. Decorate with retained strawberry slices. Refrigerate until serving time.

STRAWBERRY ANGEL FOOD DESSERT

Steps:

• Crumble the cake into a 9x13 inch dish.
• Beat the cream cheese and sugar in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Fold in whipped topping. Mash the cake down with your hands and spread the cream cheese mixture over the cake.
• In a bowl, combine strawberries and glaze until strawberries are evenly coated. Spread over cream cheese layer. Chill until serving.

STRAWBERRY AND CREAM CHEESE PARFAIT

Steps:

• In a bowl, with an electric mixer, mix cream cheese and 3 tablespoon of sugar for 2 minutes or until it's creamy. Add yogurt and mix until the mixture is homogeneous.
• Put strawberries in a large bowl. Add remaining sugar and stir delicately to coat well. Let rest for 5 minutes at room temperature (stir one time).
• In 6 parfait glasses of a capacity of 1 cup each, distribute half the mixture of cream cheese, half of strawberries and half of almond cookies. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Cover with a plastic wrap and put in the fridge for 2 hours. When ready to serve, garnish with roasted almonds.
