1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 jalapeno peppers (2 t) or 1 serrano pepper, seeded and minced (2 t)
1 gala apples, halved, cored and thinly sliced
1 golden delicious apple, halved, cored and thinly sliced
1 granny smith apple, halved, cored and thinly sliced
8 cups napa cabbage, finely shredded
1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips
1/2 seedless cucumber, cut in thin strips
3 scallions, thinly sliced
3/4 cup cilantro
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1 (3 ounce) container radish sprouts

Steps:

  • In large bowl, whisk vinegar, oil, honey, salt and chile pepper until blended.
  • Add apple slices and toss to coat.
  • Add remaining ingredients, except radish sprouts, and toss to coat (slaw can be made up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerated).
  • Just before serving, scatter radish sprouts over the slaw.
  • Gently toss.

1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 lime, juiced
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 head Napa cabbage, sliced thin
1 red bell pepper, julienne fine
1 yellow bell pepper, julienne fine
2 serrano chiles, minced fine
1 large carrot, grated fine with a peeler
3 green onions, cut on the bias, all of white part and half of the green
2 tablespoons chiffonade cilantro
2 tablespoons chiffonade mint
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, or food processor combine ginger, vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, oil, and peanut butter. In a large bowl, combine all other ingredients and then toss with dressing. You can save some of the dressing to dress noodles that can be added to this dish along with stir fried pork to make an entire meal.

3 tablespoons minced peeled fresh ginger

Steps:

  • Combine cabbage, carrots and sliced spinach in large bowl.
