300 g Pasta shapes (See notes.)
200 g Broccoli (One medium-sized head of broccoli)
500 g Passata
2 tsp Garlic powder
3 tbsp Tomato puree
1 tbsp Oregano
2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
200 g Tinned tuna (Two regular-sized tins, drained)
300 g Cherry tomatoes (Halved)
150 g Mature cheddar cheese (Grated)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 200C.
  • Cook the pasta according to pack instructions. Add the broccoli into the boiling water with the pasta about 4 minutes before the end of its cooking time.
  • Meanwhile, mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl or jug.
  • Drain the pasta, add the sauce, the drained tuna and cherry tomatoes and mix well.
  • Pop into a roasting dish with the cheese on top and pop into the oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden.

3 cups mafalda (mini lasagna), mostaccioli noodles, or penne pasta
1/2 cup basil pesto
1 10-ounce container refrigerated cheese or plain Alfredo sauce
1 12-ounce tuna (drained and chunked)
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  • Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to directions, taking 1 minute off the cooking time. When the pasta is almost al dente, drain well.
  • Meanwhile, combine the Alfredo sauce and pesto in a medium bowl and mix to combine. Add the cooked pasta and tuna, mixing gently.
  • Pour the tuna mixture into a greased 2-quart glass baking dish and top with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is melted and casserole is hot.

2 cups whole wheat elbow macaroni
2 Tbsp canola oil
1 onion, finely diced
1 can albacore tuna, drained
1 jar Newman's Own Alfredo Pasta sauce
1 ½ cups spinach, finely chopped
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper
½ whole wheat bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. While the pasta is cooking, preheat oven to 350F and start working on the sauce.
  • In a sauté pan, add canola oil and sauté onions until translucent. Add tuna.
  • Add Newman's Own Alfredo Pasta Sauce and simmer for a minute or two then add the spinach. Continue to stir for another minute.
  • Remove from heat then add ½ cup of the parmesan cheese and salt & pepper to taste. Stir well. Add the cooked whole wheat pasta to the sauce. Mix well.
  • Transfer the macaroni and sauce mixture into a square baking dish. Top with the rest of the parmesan cheese and bread crumbs.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Serve immediately.

1/2 jar(s) light alfredo sauce
1 can(s) tomato sauce (8oz)
1 can(s) chopped tomatoes (14.5oz)
10 ounce(s) canned tuna
1/2 - 1 cup(s) cooked spinach
- salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions (for whole wheat usually boil 6-7 minutes) and strain.
  • Pour back into pot over low heat and immediately add all ingredients in order listed! (this will ensure pasta doesn't stick together!) NOTE: I would add salt and pepper to taste after adding tomatoes so they blend better!
  • That's it! Makes about 8 servings... you may change pasta shape to rotini or as you wish...ENJOY! This dish is as delicious as it is nutritious!

This dish is super easy. It is also a very hearty delicious bowl of comfort food. The guys in my house loved it. I loved this recipe but I used cream of mushroom soup and added the cheese into the casserole. I also melted butter and added bread crumbs to the top before baking, then sprinkle top lightly with dill seasoning. The resulting casserole was very creamy and flavorful.

1 (7.25 ounce) package macaroni and cheese
¼ cup butter
¼ cup milk
1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
½ cup milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley, or to taste
¼ cup bread crumbs
¼ cup butter, melted
½ teaspoon dried dill weed, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain and return macaroni to pot.
  • Stir 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup milk, and powdered cheese from envelope into the cooked macaroni. Stir cream of mushroom soup, tuna, and 1/2 cup milk into the macaroni and cheese. Pour macaroni mixture into the prepared baking dish; top with Cheddar cheese and parsley.
