BEERGARITAS
This takeoff on the classic margarita is a fun alternative to plain beer and just might be the hit of the party. It's a thirst-quencher with pizzazz!

Steps:
- In pitcher, mix limeade concentrate, tequila and liqueur until well blended. Pour beer into pitcher; stir.
- Fill 8 lowball or margarita glasses with crushed ice. Pour beer mixture over ice. Garnish each with lime slice.

- Add the tequila, agave and lime juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Add the beer, then strain into a goblet filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.

There are similar versions but wanted to add this one since the ratios are a little different. The makes 1 pitcher. Perfect for a hot summer day.

BEERGARITA
Steps:
- Mix together the salt, sugar and lime zest in a shallow dish. Rub the rims of your margarita glasses with a lime half and dip into the salt mixture. Fill the glasses with ice and set aside.
- Add ice to a large cocktail shaker and add the lime juice. Add the tequila, orange liqueur and agave nectar and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Pour into the ice-filled margarita glasses. Top each glass off with beer.

- Make simple syrup by heating equal amounts of granulated sugar and water (I used 1/4 cup of each) in a small pot over low heat. As soon as the sugar has dissolved, remove from heat. Store in air tight container in the refrigerator. Make as little or as much as you want. It will last at least a few weeks.
- Using a very large mug, add ice cubes and all the margarita ingredients: tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and orange liqueur.
- Pour the beer into the glass and submerge the top of the beer in the liquid. It won't overflow if you do it right.
