CHICKEN CABBAGE SOUP
This delicious soup is an easy recipe made with minimal ingredients, including carrots, thyme, and cooked chicken. No tomatoes needed for this one!

Steps:
- Heat a large pot over medium heat.
- Add in onion, garlic, carrots, red pepper flakes, and a good pinch of sea salt.
- Saute 2-3 minutes.
- Add in the cabbage, water, thyme, and one teaspoon of sea salt.
- Give everything a good stir.
- Bring soup up to a boil, then lower to a simmer.
- Cook 20-25 minutes, until cabbage is tender, not mushy.
- Stir in as much or little chopped cooked chicken as you like.
- Taste for salt and enjoy!

CABBAGE SOUP WITHOUT TOMATOES
Cabbage Soup without tomatos. Came up with this cabbag soup because I don't like the tomato base cabbage soup diet. After doing the diet for one week, the soup is the only part I wanted to stay on.

Steps:
- Chop cabbage, celery and onions cover with water and cook until tender. Add carrots and green beans and 4 cups of soup base. Heat through. You may eat now or simmer for a while. Flavor is better when cooked longer.
- Keep adding broth as it gets low. Great way to get in you veggies!

TOMATO CABBAGE SOUP
This is the best cabbage soup I have ever tasted. I found this recipe in an old cookbook. I changed some of the ingredients as I love a thick soup, the chili sauce adds a lot of flavor to the soup.

- Melt margarine in large dutch oven or soup pot.
- Add onion and celery.
- Saute until soft.
- Add remaining ingredients.

MARMIE'S NO CABBAGE FAT BURNING SOUP
This is a very easy recipe that I have changed over the years, but originally it came from a hospital I worked at and was used to help overweight patients lose weight before surgery. I make it because my whole family loves it and it is so low in calories it is pretty much a free food when I am dieting. I do not care for cabbage in soup so this suits us just fine! I have made it in the crock pot as well with great success. There is a 'diet meal plan' that goes with the original recipe if anyone is interested.. This freezes wonderfully, so I put some of it in small personal sized containers and thaw as required for my hubby and my self for lunches. Servings are estimated, it makes a large pot full. I hope you like it!

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a large dutch oven except for soup mix and hot sauce --
- Bring to boil for 5 min,
- Reduce heat to simmer for 1 hour or use a slow cooker for about 7 hours.
- Add soup mix and hot sauce to taste.
- Simmer 10 more minutes.
- If you are not dieting some Parmesan or Mozza on top is lovely.
HEALING CABBAGE SOUP

- In a large stockpot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Stir in onion and garlic; cook until onion is transparent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in water, bouillon, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then stir in cabbage. Simmer until cabbage wilts, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes. Return to a boil, then simmer 15 to 30 minutes, stirring often.
