Caprese Flatbreads are loaded with fresh basil, juicy roasted tomato, gooey mozzarella cheese, and a sweet and tangy balsamic reduction.

1 pint of grape tomatoes
2 T. of olive oil
salt
2 pieces of whole wheat naan bread
1 teaspoon of minced garlic {approximately 1 garlic clove}
2 T. of olive oil
8 oz. of fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
3 T. of basil, roughly chopped
Balsamic Reduction

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400º. Place grape tomatoes on a baking sheet and top with olive oil and salt.
  • Place in oven and roast tomatoes for 20 minutes.
  • Reduce oven temperature to 350º.
  • Place flatbreads on a baking sheet. Top each flatbread with olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic and spread evenly.
  • Top each flatbread with 4 oz. of freshly sliced mozzarella.
  • Evenly distribute the roasted grape tomatoes on top of each flatbread.
  • Place flatbreads in oven and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Top each flatbread with 1 1/2 Tablespoons of fresh chopped basil. {will need a total of 3 T. of basil}
  • Lastly, drizzle a Balsamic Reduction over the top! {here's my easy Balsamic Reduction recipe}

Fresh and fragrant Caprese Flatbread Recipe, loaded with vine-ripened tomatoes, basil leaves, tender mozzarella balls, balsamic reduction and cheese stuffed crust.

16 ounces pizza dough,
5 ounces garlic and herb cheese spread ((like alouette))
2 medium ripe tomatoes (sliced)
1 large fresh mozzarella ball, (sliced into rounds)
1 bunch fresh basil (stems removed)
2 tablespoons balsamic reduction
Salt (and pepper)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella. Lay the tomato slices on paper towels to absorb some of their moisture.
  • Dust a large work surface with flour. Roll and stretch the pizza dough out into a large 15x18-inch rectangle. Smear the garlic and herb cheese spread over half of the pizza dough, then fold the bare dough over the half with the cheese spread to cover it.
  • Move the folded dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and stretch it out to a 10x15-inch rectangle. Arrange the tomatoes, basil leaves, and mozzarella slices on the dough. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes until the crust is golden. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the flat bread, then cut and serve.

1 cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup honey
3 large tomatoes, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1 (16 ounce) package fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/4-inch slices
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup fresh basil leaves
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Stir balsamic vinegar and honey together in a small saucepan and place over high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until the vinegar mixture has reduced to 1/3 cup, about 10 minutes. Set the balsamic reduction aside to cool.
  • Arrange alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella cheese decoratively on a serving platter. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, spread fresh basil leaves over the salad, and drizzle with olive oil and the balsamic reduction.

1 cup balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 large vine-ripened beefsteak tomatoes, cut into 10-15 slices
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt
fresh ground black pepper
10-15 slices fresh mozzarella
10-15 large basil leaves

Steps:

  • Place the balsamic vinegar and the dark brown sugar in a small sauce pan over medium-low heat. Let the mixture simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until reduced by half.
  • Once the reduction has reduced, remove from the stove and let cool.
  • Lay the tomatoes out onto a plate or two, and lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Top with fresh mozzarella slices and basil leave.
  • Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the whole thing, let rest for a few minutes, and enjoy.

Steps:

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 400.
  • Add pizza sauce to your flatbread (however much you like).
  • Slice your tomatoes and add 6 to each flatbread. Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 11-14 minutes or until cheese is bubble.
  • Top with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and basil. ENJOY warm.

This easy Breakfast Caprese Flatbread made with fresh tomatoes, avocado, sunny side up eggs and balsamic glaze over naan is a healthy and filling 10 minute recipe with amazing flavors!

1 Naan Flatbread
1/4 cup pesto, divided
1 large tomato
1/2 avocado
2-3 large eggs
2 Tablespoons balsamic glaze
salt and black pepper

Steps:

  • Spread 2 Tablespoons of pesto over Naan. Cook in Air Fryer or Oven at 400°F for 4-5 minutes.
  • Slice tomatoes and avocado.
  • Heat non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Spray with oil and crack eggs in pan. Season with a pinch of salt and touch of cracked black pepper. Cover with lid and cook for about 2 minutes until whites of the eggs are all opaque and cooked through.
  • Top pesto flatbread with tomatoes, avocado and drizzle with remaining pesto. Top with eggs and balsamic glaze. Slice into 4 pieces and enjoy!
