CHINESE CHICKEN SKEWERS
A delicious Asian inspired recipe for Chinese Chicken skewers that's going to knock your socks off! Simple but full of flavor!

Steps:
- Cut the chicken into 1 - 1.5" pieces.
- Combine the Marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- Add the chicken and set aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight.
- Thread chicken onto skewers.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet (big enough to fit the skewers) over medium high heat.
- Cook half the skewers for 3 to 5 minutes on each side until deep golden brown, using spatula to press them so they cook through evenly. Repeat with remaining skewers.
- Serve immediately, garnished with finely sliced scallions.

CHINESE BBQ CHICKEN SKEWERS
From Penzey's Spices submitted by Christine Simmerman. This has become my favorite bbq sauce for chicken. I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs and did not cut them in strips, just put them on the grill over indirect heat. Very moist and the flavor was wonderful!

Steps:
- Cut the chicken pieces into long thin strips, 3-4 per piece.
- In a large bowl or zip top bag, combine the soy sauce, ginger, hoisin sauce, white pepper, and garllic.
- Place 2 TB of the marinade in a small covered bowl.
- Refrigerate until it is time to cook the chicken.
- Add the chicken to the remaining marinade in the bag, toss until well coated, push the air out of bag and seal.
- Marinate for at least 20 minutes - a few hours is nice and overnight even better.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Remove the chicken from marinade.
- Discard the marinade and skewer the chicken using a weaving method with the skewer.
- Place on foil-lined cookie sheets in a single layer,.
- Bakefor 15-25 minutes.
- Flip halfway through and baste with the reserved marinade.
- You can grill for approximately 10 minutes on each side instead of using the oven.
CHINESE CHICKEN ON A STICK (CHINESE SKEWERS RECIPE)
Here's an easy Chinese chicken on a stick recipe that's perfect for entertaining. These Chinese chicken skewers are quick, and packed full of Asian flavors.

Steps:
- Cut chicken into bite sized cubes about 2 inches
- Mix oil oyster sauce and chili sauce, divide mixture into two and set one part aside for brushing the meat while it cooks
- Add the oil, half of the oyster sauce mix, soy sauce, garlic powder black pepper to the chicken, mix till chicken is well coated.
- Thread coated chicken through skewers
- Place in a parchment lined air Fryer basket or tray and air fry at 400°F / 200°C for 7 mins.
- After 7 mins pull out basket / tray and brush some sauce some sauce in the chicken before flipping them over. Then continue cooking for another 7 mins then brush the last sauce on chicken then cook for another min let it rest for a minute before serving. The internal temperature of the chicken should 165°F / 74°C to be considered fully cooked and safe to eat.
- Serve as is or with your favorite side dishes

ASIAN CHICKEN SKEWERS

- Combine the cilantro, oil, chili sauce, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, onions and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a mini food processor or blender and process until smooth.
- Drain the skewers and thread a piece of chicken onto each skewer. Place the skewers in a large nonreactive baking dish and rub with the marinade mixture. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator 1 to 2 hours.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the skewers from the baking dish and discard the marinade. Cook the chicken, turning once, until well charred and cooked through, 4 to 6 minutes per side. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
TERIYAKI SESAME CHICKEN SKEWERS
Steps:
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for 1 hour to keep from burning later.
- Mix all marinade ingredients together in a non-reactive container large enough to hold all of the chicken. Cut chicken into 1/2-inch strips and submerge them in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Thread 1 chicken strip on each skewer towards end of the stick, and line up on a sheet pan. Place in oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until fully cooked through. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving. Serve by sticking skewers straight out of the side of a cantaloupe half filled with melon balls, if desired.

CHICKEN SATAY SKEWERS RECIPE BY TASTY

- In a food processor, blend the peanut butter, coconut milk, spring onions, garlic, ginger, chilies, curry powder, cumin, turmeric, salt, soy sauce, and lime juice into a smooth paste; this should make about 2 cups. Reserve half of the marinade and pour the other half over the chicken thighs. Mix and chill for 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 425˚F (220˚C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Skewer the marinated chicken onto bamboo skewers, then arrange the skewers so their ends rest on the edges of the baking tray, allowing the chicken to be suspended. Bake the chicken skewers for 15-20 minutes, until slightly dark brown on the edges and cooked through.
- With no oil in the pan, toast the chopped peanuts on low to medium heat, stirring constantly until the peanuts turn golden brown, 2-3 minutes. Add in the reserved marinade and the coconut milk. Stir and cook until thick and very aromatic, 5-10 minutes.
- Serve the chicken skewers with the sauce on the side.

- Soak bamboo skewers in warm water for 1 hour.
- While skewers soak, mix teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, garlic, and sweetener together in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Add chicken, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour; the longer you marinate, the better the flavor.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

- Skewer 3-4 pieces of chicken and green onions in an alternating pattern on a bamboo skewer. Repeat with remaining chicken & onions.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Sear 3-4 skewers at a time and flip when the undersides are golden brown.
- In a medium pot, combine all ingredients for glaze and bring to a boil until the bubbles start to become sticky and glossy.
- Brush the glaze on the skewers evenly and cook for about 4 more minutes, flipping every minute and glazing occasionally.
- Cool, then serve with additional green onions on top!

- Combine soy sauce, 1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons pineapple juice, 1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons hot honey, garlic, brown sugar, salt, and ginger in a saucepan; stir until well combined. Cook over medium heat until sauce is just starting to boil, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and whisk in cornstarch until well incorporated. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to thicken, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove teriyaki sauce from heat.
