Freeze your margarita base the night before to create slushy, restaurant-style frozen margaritas at home.

Ingredients

4 ounces (1/2 cup; 120ml) silver tequila (100% agave)
2 ounces high-quality triple sec or Cointreau (1/4 cup; 60ml)
2 1/2 ounces lime juice (5 tablespoons; 75ml), from 4 to 5 limes
4 ounces simple syrup (1/2 cup; 120ml); see note
12 ounces ice (about 3 cups)

Steps:

At Least 8 Hours Before Serving: Combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup in a sealable container that will fit in your freezer. Seal and place in freezer for at least 8 hours and up to 1 week (the mixture will remain completely liquid).
When you are ready to serve, add ice and tequila mixture to blender. Blend on highest setting, pulsing and scraping down sides as necessary, until completely smooth. Serve immediately.

It's very easy to make a blended margarita! Toss the fresh lime juice and a great tequila of the original recipe into the blender for a frozen delight.

Ingredients

Optional: salt (for rim)
1 cup of ice
1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/2 ounce triple sec
1 ounce lime juice (fresh)
2 ounces sour mix
Garnish: lime wedge

Steps:

Gather the ingredients.
If desired, salt the rim of a chilled margarita glass : Wipe a lime wedge around the rim to wet it, then dip it into a shallow dish of coarse salt.
Pour the ingredients into a blender .
Blend until smooth.
Pour the blender contents into the prepared glass.
Garnish with the lime wedge. Serve and enjoy.

1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
6 fluid ounces tequila
2 fluid ounces triple sec

Steps:

Fill blender with crushed ice. Pour in limeade concentrate, tequila and triple sec. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
