1 tablespoon nutmeg
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 block cream cheese
1 cup mixed berries (raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries)

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat together the cinnamon, eggs, flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, vanilla extract, and nutmeg.
  • Pour batter into the waffle iron (preheated to medium heat).
  • Bake for 8 minutes or until golden.
  • Garnish with cream cheese.
  • Serve with berries as a topping and enjoy.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons light brown sugar (, packed)
4 ounces 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese (, softened)
2 eggs (, separated)
1-1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
Fresh Berries for garnish
Honey (, optional)
1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
4 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Preheat waffle maker.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and light brown sugar; whisk until well combined and set aside.
  • In your mixer's bowl, combine cream cheese and egg yolks; mix until smooth.
  • Add milk, oil and vanilla; mix until just combined.
  • Add flour mixture to cream cheese mixture and stir just until dry ingredients are moist. Set aside.
  • Place egg whites in your mixer's bowl and beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Using a rubber spatula, fold the egg whites gently into the waffle-batter; fold just until thoroughly combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour about 1/3-cup of the batter onto the preheated waffle iron and close the lid.***
  • Bake for about 2 to 3 minutes, or until lightly browned a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
