SOUR CREAM CHICKEN MACARONI CASSEROLE
This was the first casserole I ever made, and it is still by far my favourite! The sour cream along with the green olives and cheese makes this casserole very flavourful. The amounts of the olives, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms can be varied based on your own personal preference, my measurements are just a guideline. Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook and drain macaroni, following package directions; place in a large mixing bowl.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium low heat. Add chicken and cook until browned.
- Add chopped onion, mushrooms, and chopped green bell pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes, or until onion is softened and mushrooms are browned.
- Add skillet mixture to macaroni with chopped olives, shredded cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper, chicken, and milk.
- Transfer chicken and macaroni mixture to a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
- Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs over the top of macaroni and chicken casserole.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 to 35 minutes, or until chicken casserole is bubbly and breadcrumbs are lightly browned.

In a slow cooker, combine cheese/butter mixture and add the sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well. Add eggs. Then add drained macaroni and stir again. Set the slow cooker on low setting and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

- To Marinate: In a large nonporous glass dish or bowl, combine the sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, paprika, salt, pepper and garlic; mix well. SOUR CREAM MARINATED CHICKEN I

- Place chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Combine the mustard, lemon and ground black pepper, mix together, and brush the mixture on the chicken until each breast is well coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together the vinegar, sour cream and celery salt and whisk all together until creamy. Pour this mixture over the coated chicken, covering the chicken as evenly as possible. Set aside any remaining sour cream mixture. Cover the chicken dish, put in the refrigerator and marinate for 6 to 8 hours.
- TO BAKE: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove chicken to a clean 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover and bake chicken in preheated oven for 45 minutes or so (depends on the size of the chicken breasts), until the chicken is well done and the juices run clear. While baking, brush occasionally with the remaining sour cream mixture. Remove cover for the last 5 minutes of baking and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese, if desired.
- TO GRILL: Grill on an open grill until tender and well done, turning occasionally. When the chicken is almost done, brush on the remaining sour cream mixture until the chicken is well browned.
- While chicken is still hot, sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese over the top and wait for about 1 minute for the cheese to melt; then serve.
