It is also good as a snack for both children and adults, although for kids you may want to tame down the spiciness a bit by using a smaller amount of mustard and/or lemon juice. Steps:
- Add one cup of bread crumbs to a medium bowl and set aside.
- Making Tuna Balls:
- Open the cans of tuna, scoop tuna chunks into a colander and drain.
- Add drained tuna to a large bowl.
- Add 1/4 cup of bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, lemon zest, chopped parsley, 2 beaten eggs, cheese and mayo to a large bowl. Using a spatula stir to combine all the ingredients.
- Using a cookie scoop (I used the 2 tablespoons one), take a scoop of the tuna mixture, dump it into the prepared bowl with bread crumbs. Cover in bread crumbs, roll gently into a more perfect ball and place on a cutting board. Repeat with the remaining tuna mixture.
- Refrigerate tuna balls for at least 1 hour before frying, otherwise they won't hold their shape.

BAKED TUNA BALLS
These tuna balls are very tasty, they can be made into 10-12 larger balls, or 30-40 smaller cocktail size balls (served with a cocktail picks). If you are one of those people (like myself) that just have to add garlic to everything, no matter what it is, then fresh minced garlic in any amount may be added to these if desired. This recipe can easily be doubled, I usually do if I am making, them into larger balls, for a snack or a main meal.

Steps:
- Melt mozzarella & cream cheese in the microwave. I do about 45 seconds, remove from microwave and stir and pop back in for another 45 seconds.
- Add in almond flour and egg until combined.
- Place dough on parchment paper. Top with the second piece of parchment paper and roll out until it's about 1/4" thick.
- Use a round cookie or biscuit cutter. I used a 3" for this recipe for a smaller tuna ball. You can use a larger one if you prefer.
- In a medium size bowl mix together tuna, cream cheese, and chopped green onions.
- Grab a piece of the fat head dough that's been cut out into a circle. Using a teaspoon, put filling onto the dough. Pinch the ends of the dough together and pinch together to ensure the filling isn't going to come out. Roll in the palm of your hand until the dough looks smooth.
- Place seam side down on the baking sheet and repeat the process until the filling is gone. You will need to reroll the extra fat head dough a second time.
- Bake in the oven at 350° for 20 minutes and golden brown.
- Serve with a side of tartar sauce!

- Sushi-grade tuna. There is tuna, and there is tuna. Only the very best will do for this dish, which means Ahi tuna. Ahi is a Hawaiian word that refers to two types of tuna – Yellowfin and Bigeye.
- Spicy mayonnaise sauce. This spicy mayo is what makes this dish to the next level. A creamy delight with tangy notes and undertones of garlic, this dressing is not only great to use when making any sushi or sashimi, but it can also be served on the side as a dip.
- Creamy Avocado. The coolness and creaminess of the avocado are unparalleled when served with something spicy. Its subtle flavor, luxurious creaminess, and natural coolness are amazing.
- Crispy Rice. All the other ingredients are sort of squidgy, so crispy rice gives this dish a great kick of texture. You will need: Rice – medium or short-grain.
- steps needed to cook the best sushi rice. If you’re cooking sushi rice regularly, I recommend getting a rice cooker or Instant Pot. It makes the job so much easier.
