Famous Amos Cookies Recipe (Copycat) image

Treat your tastebuds with this copycat famous Amos cookies recipe that serves perfectly chewy, nutty, and chocolate-chip-filled goodies.

1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tbsp milk
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Thoroughly cream sugars, margarine, oil, egg, milk and vanilla.
  • Add dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips.
  • Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 12 minutes until cookies are light in color.
  • Serve and enjoy.
